Very helpful for anxiety

This book seriously helped so much with my anxiety. I have always been someone who needs a hard science reason for why something is happening to me and this book such a good job of doing that. My anxiety has been so much better since reading this book.

Great way to improve

Awareness is not easy for me, but avoidance is my MO! This book gave me a better understanding of the connection between what I say to myself and how it impacts how I feel and behave. Biggest takeaway: Don’t be so hard on yourself. The goal-setting and strategies are helping me build my own road map....made simple but certainly not easy. Thank you.

True to Name!

The title says it all. This book is well explain in a way to help you through anxiety rather than making you more anxious about fixing it. The sections are well organized and can be read in any order, depending on whether you want to focus on emotions, behaviors or building your support network. Highly recommended.

Techniques to reduce anxiety-excellent!

I found this book at the perfect time. I was struggling with anxiety and was able to try techniques to reduce anxiety from the book and it worked! I’m always open to learning other ways to help with my anxiety other than meds and I definitely recommend this book for others that struggle with anxiety

Great book!

The author does a great job defining the connection between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. The book is very reader friendly and allows you to focus on the areas that pertain to you if you don’t have time to read the whole book. It continues to provide encouragement and hope throughout the book to keep it personal. I highly recommend it!

Great resource!

Loved it! This book is great step by step resource. I have struggled with some anxieties over my life. What I love about this book is that it’s practical problem-solving, and really provides a guide to work episodes through. It’s empowering and has given me some real strategies to push through tough moments. I appreciative the positive bent as well, even as it helps you work through the challenges that can stand in the way. Great resource.

Love this book!

I loved this book! Be Calm is a direct guide to understanding anxiety, behavior, and thought patterns written in clear and approachable way. Depression, anxiety, compulsive behavior suck. Not everyone has time or money to go to therapy. The book drills down on how these feelings manifest and provides tips to deal. The author does an excellent job of providing humanity to these topics. Various patient experiences are integrated in Be Calm letting you know 1) you’re not weird or alone; and 2) there is hope - the people profiled made changes for the better. The author’s honest in her assessment that it takes work and thoughtfulness to understand the behavior and to make changes. The rendering of tools and tips allow for doable and achievable short-term goals. These exercises and actions can be really effective and allow for results.

Extremely helpful

Fantastic book-easy to listen and I felt like the writer completely understood how anxiety feels and how to overcome it. I've suffered from anxiety before I knew that was it and it can be debilitating. I started implementing the strategies while reading the book and already feel somewhat better. Highly recommend.
