This book gave me a quick understanding.

This book gave me a quick understanding of what transpired in the early days of Hitler as well as the beginnings of WWII. I recommend reading this book if you also have an interest in that era.

A good summary of his life. Learned a few things.

The book started off very well regarding Hitler's personal life. Then the story went off to the historical events that happened before and through Hitler's spot.A good summary of his life. Learned a few things.

Great men.

This book is as relevant today as when it was written decades ago. It's most fascinating for the way that it illuminates the people around Hitler as utterly unable to deal with a sociopath; despite their worldly experience and great savvy, they just can't seem to believe that Hitler is not sincere - that he can't be reasoned with. Astonishingly, we have not learned this lesson.

Incredible Biography

I bought this book because I wanted to understand how a sociopath could get elected and create a loyal, fervent following - I thought that we would never see this again. But it is happening here and now in our country. If you are curious to understand the mess we are in today, this is a good book to read.

Very good book. Like a continuation of Mein Nichola Wil. If you are a student of history, read this after you finish Nichola Wil book.

Great lines,

This first half of Adolf Hitler goes into detail more of his personal life as a youth and his "alone" life in Vienna in his late teens and twenties. Extremely well done by the personal interviews of those who knew him.

Wow, this is like being there...........

The best reason to read it is that the author (now deceased) conducted numerous interviews in the 1960s and 1970s with various individuals that interacted with Hitler and around him, sources now also deceased.

I really enjoyed this book

I really enjoyed this book from the vivid descriptions of war practices to the humorous practical jokes, talkbacks and commentary. As a lover of music, the talk of Milligan forming a band, playing gigs and their love for jazz made me unbearably happy.

Disappointing !

I felt that the pronounciations of the reader (thst frequently changed throughout the book ) spoiled my enjoyment of it. Then the blatant advert 'bonus content' was totally inappropriate.

I wanted an in-depth book on A. Hitler, not an ad

Quite disappointed really.
The length of the book is deceiving, as for at least the last hour the narrator talks of a self-help guide.
The biography itself reads like a summarization, the majority of which is mainstream knowledge.
For a serious look at one of history's most infamous identities, the cartoonish narration detracts from the biography, and given other titles he has narrated, I question why hhr was chosen for this title.
