Publisher's summary

Abandoned at a truck stop...with nothing....

Aden, a handsome young nurse, is destitute after his new boyfriend rumbles away in his semi with everything Aden owns in the back. He has no money, no clothes, and no car. Nothing. Maybe his boyfriend really didn't intend to take him to California to live happily ever after.

Dr. Dare O'Roarke has everything....

Dare has the perfect life - a lovely home, nice things, a fulfilling job as a surgeon in a New Mexico community where his services are desperately needed. He has it all...but someone to share it with. The young man huddled at the side of the road needs help. And Dare is happy to provide assistance in reclaiming his belongings and offers his guesthouse to rent...and a job recommendation.

But someone is after Aden....

Someone terrifyingly determined wants to take him away from his happy life and the growing attraction between Aden and Dare. Soon, the sheriff's department, the FBI, Aden's mother, and two new dogs and cats are trying to protect Aden. Will it be enough to protect Aden and Dare from a madman?

Strong Men

This story is very full of wonderful strong caring men. I wasn't sure when I started if it would be too dramatic but I'm so glad I stuck it out. This story moves at a good clip with stated time gaps to show elapsed time so the building relationship between Aden and Dave makes sense while still keeping the story moving. This book kept me on the edge of my seat.

Not s good story.

Narrator was not very good. Storyline is weak. Might not want to waste your money or credit.

A truly wonderful story.

This has to be one of my favorite stories ever. Aden started off as a guy who was kicked out of his home at a young age because he told his mother he was gay. He then ran into trouble trying to find himself and the love and affection he was lacking in his life. He then runs into a wonderful doctor by the name of Dare and he helps him in more ways than one. There in the small town of New Mexico Aden finds that he is worth more than he thought he was. He also finds that a man that he thought was a sleeze ball of an ex was actually someone much worse. Aden finds he will need the new friends and the help of the sweet doctor to help him survive the life threatening trouble to come. I can't wait for the next book! Jeff narrated this story so well so I hope he continues narrating AC's books! This is a must-have!

Formulaic and a bit melodramatic

I was okay with this book - it wasn't anything amazing or awful - it just kind of is what it is. The story-line is incredibly formulaic, the characters are pretty two-dimensional, with a clear effort by the author to keep them from being that. I have some real trouble with the wounded soul/survivor who is also so naive as to be painful nature of Aden's character, and I think that much of the dialog borders on hysterical (and not in the ha-ha I can't stop laughing way).

If you are in the mood for an old-school harlequin romance featuring two men instead of the traditional het couples of the books they churned out in the 70's and 80's then this book might fit the mood.

Good Start.

This was a good start to this new series. The story was enjoyable. I am a fan of AC Katt. I really loved the series werewolf of New York. The narration of the characters were spot on. The only little complaint I have is that, the word baby was used entirely to much. But besides that. I enjoyed Aden and Dare's story, I recommend this book. Now on to the next book.
