Publisher's summary

For professional organizer Maggie McDonald, moving her family into a new home should be the perfect organizational challenge. But murder was definitely not on the to-do list....

Maggie McDonald has a penchant for order that isn't confined to her clients' closets, kitchens, and sock drawers. As she lays out her plan to transfer her family to the 100-year-old house her husband Max has inherited in the hills above Silicon Valley, she has every expectation for their new life to fall neatly into place. But as the family bounces up the driveway of their new home, she's shocked to discover the house's dilapidated condition.

When her husband finds the caretaker face-down in their new basement, it's the detectives who end up moving in. What a mess! While the investigation unravels and the family camps out in a barn, a killer remains at large-exactly the sort of loose end Maggie can't help but clean up....

Great start

I'm glad I gave this book a chance. Address to Die For is entertaining with realistic characters and a believable plot. The pace of the story wasn't fast but it wasn't slow either. I enjoyed this story and look forward to other books in this series.

Fun cozy

Complex characters populate this new town. And a dead guy in her basement isn’t a great introduction to her new home! Interesting start to the series.

we plan-God laughs

Maggie and her boys are moving to a new home her husband Max inherited. As soon as they drive up the drive way, things go wrong. For a woman who has organization in her blood, Maggie does her best to roll with curves thrown in her path. I enjoyed listening to Address to Die For as Maggie and her family move in to a new home in a new city. The boys find their way in school, activities and friends, as Maggie does the same learning the town and it's people. We don't see much of Max in this book as he immediately gets called out of the country for his new job, but look forward to getting to know him in coming books. Loved this first book of what I hope to be a very long series. I would like to grow with this family!

Murder mystery with lots of twists

I really enjoyed this book and found myself trying to figure it out for myself. The characters were very well defined. I loved some of them and wanted to slap some of them. Also love the way she started each chapter with an organizing tip. The ending blew me away with the culprit that I would’ve never guessed. The reading was good and kept me interested. Looking forward to the next book.

Do not waste your time or money

I tried, I really did I listened to up to Chapter 14. In those chapters this story went no where, and agonizingly slowly.

Being an avid reader and Audible listener, I read the synopsis of the story, the other reader's reviews and then listen to the sample prior to purchase. As a mystery aficionado I thought this story would be interesting and entertaining to listen to. Unfortunately it was not, at least for me.

There was little to no plot. The author kept going around and around in circles, and the worst for me, was her continuous use of dead squirrels being nailed to something as something to evoke horror. Well it did evoke horror in me, but in horror of listening to the rest of this go no where, story.

The narration was ok.
