The Passion of Christ is foreshadowed numerous times in the Old Testament. Or why else did God send a "deep sleep" on Adam in order to create Eve? Why does Genesis tell us Noah was laid out naked and drunk? Why did God send a "deep sleep" upon Abraham, with dark dread in the midst of his sacrifice, when making a Covenant with him?

Decoding these and many further examples in the light of Calvary reveals innumerable goods bestowed on souls through the Crucifixion. Adam’s Deep Sleep teaches us to expect the cross in our own life, and to be confident of the graces conferred by carrying it. The hard-to-understand Old Testament is explained by the New Testament and knowing this will help you get to Heaven.

Catholics got tricked into not reading Scripture around 70 years ago, sadly enough by our own Church’s hierarchy, which has been infiltrated and compromised. This book is so important to read and share because most Catholics…most humans…don’t understand that the confusing Old Testament of the Bible can’t be fully understood without the New Testament. The New is like a decoder ring a superhero would use. Once decoded, we clearly see Jesus was God’s plan from the beginning and Christianity itself becomes logical, even to a former atheist like me.

I also recommend “Mere Christianity” by CS Lewis if you are looking to investigate Christianity or deepen your understanding and faith. Lewis was also an Atheist until he decided to look past the presumptions of society and check Christianity out for himself.

This book opens up the Holy Word of God in the Holy Bible like no other. This book is a must-read and it contains as much information as 30 books!
