Publisher's Summary

Like her classmates, builder Iggy and inventor Rosie, scientist Ada, a character of color, has a boundless imagination and has always been hopelessly curious. Why are there pointy things stuck to a rose? Why are there hairs growing inside your nose? When her house fills with a horrific, toe-curling smell, Ada knows it's up to her to find the source. Not afraid of failure, she embarks on a fact-finding mission and conducts scientific experiments, all in the name of discovery. But, this time, her experiments lead to even more stink and get her into trouble! Although Ada may never find the source, she's able to indulge her curiosity in the ways a young scientist should.

What’s with the music?

We have this book at home and my kids love it. I bought it to listen to in the car, but it hurts my brain. For some reason they felt the need to loop super redundant music in the background. It totally ruins he cadence of the book.

Read this review! I love it!

This book really gave me insight and a clearer picture of what scientists do and are. It's the simple minded statements that tell it all. It gives a clearer picture of what they do and that's really helpful when you begin to realize how much improvising being a scientist is at home. I recommend this book to every kid of any age who seeks and adventure. Adults/teens too, who are still lost at what to do in life.
