fun story, I enjoyed it! excellent narration.

fun story, I enjoyed it! excellent narration, I liked her variations on the voices.

the conflict throughout the story got a little old after awhile, but I enjoyed the journey of Avery and Grey.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book on my back porch with a cup of tea. Easy read.

Trouble with love

The main man kept having trouble put upon him. The female character is put between her love interest vs family. Do you follow your heart or your brain, even in a no win situation?

Full of melodrama if you like it

The story was a good premise and Kate Rudd did a great job of narration. The premise though interesting was the source of major conflict between the characters causing angst throughout most of the book. This to me made the latter part of the book to be a major downer. Avery made a terrible decision toward the end that seemed to indicate her loyalty to her family who were selfish, belligerent, concerned only with their possessions and problems over other innocent people.
I think most people unless major dependence problems would not have made that decision. To me it made forgiving her very difficult.

Pleasantly surprised!

I'd never heard anything by this author before, and am so glad I stumbled across this book! There is honest depth to the story, AND some excellent hot & steamy bits. Liking forward to listening to the next one because, duh, Kate Rudd is one of the best narrators out there!

Beck's character development is phenomenal

I shy away from explicit novels, as they aren't my thing. This novel by Jamie Beck refrained from much of the cliché romance novel-esque wording and while I fast forwarded through the few explicit parts, I thoroughly enjoyed it. Beck develops her characters meticulously, and her storyline is fantastic. I appreciated her attention to details and the quality her book possessed. Great read.

Loved, loved this story

The main male character in this story is a keeper, Grey Lowell. I loved how this story developed and kept me guessing on how it would play out in the end. I thought it was a great story. I can't wait to hear the next book in the series.

My favorite character was Grey. I thought he was very well aware of what would happen between him and Avery if he went after her brother.

When Grey went to the courts and told them about how Andy was trying to change his life around.

This wasn't my first Jamie Beck novel and won't be my last. She's done it again with Avery and Gray's love story.
