What happens when someone's only way out of imminent danger involves maiming or killing their assailant? How do criminal defense attorneys intervene in cases surrounding intimate partner violence?

On today’s bonus episode, criminal defense attorney Miriam Airington Fisher and intimate partner violence expert Cindene Pezzell from the Battered Women's Justice Project speak candidly about the reality of criminalized survivors of abuse.
