great on the basics

Gave some great ideas and demonstrations for memorizing lists but was weak on embedding sub-points. Overall my ability to memorize lists, and retain the lists for week has improved 100 fold.

pretty good start

This book had a great amount of info and is a great starting point point for memory improvement. It seemed a little long winded at times but that might be due to my ADD

Easy!

It was short & easy to read. The techniques were easy to follow and work almost immediately. It's a book you can always come back to and brush up on the techniques if need be. Would recommend it to everyone looking to improve their memory.

Good tool

I bought this to prep for a conference. I think what it does is to give a sense of confidence that might not have been there before. I used it to memorize The Man in the Glass. Good stuff.

Great practice oriented tutorial approach

I am reading the book in my kindle fire. So far the book is good and it gives good memorization techniques. The only issue I have seen so far is that there are two pages that look like if they were "pasted" from an internet site. I wasn't able to read those pages because the font is tiny and I couldn't find a way to zoom in the page. I couldn't follow the flow of those chapters and feels like I missed something. I am not sure if it is an edition issue, or what, but it would be nice if that is taken care of.

Great book to help you with memory skills.

I bought many of these books for a meeting I had where the author was the speaker. He was amazing and his book is too. Has helped me with my memory.

Almost great

I've found the skills presented in this book to be extrememly useful, not to mention entertaining. (I am a born show-off.) I finished it a couple of weeks ago, and am already doing memory stunts that I never would have thought that I was capable of. (-And combine this book with another one on doing math in your head...it'll freak people right out.)

Memory

Definitely one of the top investments I've made so far. Being a college student and having to memorize chapters and definition in the weekly basis. I've found this book really helpful and informative. Although I wish it was longer, the concepts are simple and efficient.

Memory improvement skills book

Very good book! Practical and laid out in a way that works up to higher and higher skill levels! This is better of the two books on the subject. Nothing is easy. All this needs work. If you're willing to invest the time and this is a great book.

Worth the read

I really enjoyed this book. The chapter a day layout helped me to develop a habit out of learning and using these techniques daily. I have about seven other books on memory techniques that I've read. A lot of the ideas represented aren't new. It's the daily time invested that really made learning and using these techniques a helpful part of my daily life.

Great guidance for success!

Easy to follow and fun to keep up with. You will surprise yourself at how well you do in the exercises. The author dummies this down so that you will constantly be encouraged by your success and then build to the next step. I never thought I'd improve to the levels that I did. Just make a slight investment in effort and focus and you will keep these formulas forever. A very handy guide to some very real self improvement. Well worth your time.

Amazingly effective

I was highly skeptical about this book but decided to give it a try anyway. The chapters are quite short, and I finished the book in a little over a week. I can honestly say that I'm quite amazed. My memory has always been terrible, but in only a couple of days I became able to memorize lists of words after only looking at each word once. I can't imagine anyone not finding a variety of uses for a great trained memory.
