Absolutely creepy

The author creates a eerie and creepy liminal space that slowly devolves into existential horror. The narrator does a brilliant job. The story started slow but then pulled me and ended on a satisfying note. I recommend this if you enjoy a more psychological type of horror.

Dystopia more like corporate America

Decently eerie and very compelling plot, but lacks some meat to the story I was hoping for more in some places. Overall really easy one sitting reading experience. Great for a long drive or long wait. It’s intense, but also controlled in what it allows the audience to experience or know along with the main character. I was invested really quickly, but the “wtf is going on” carries the entire book.

If you’re looking for unsettling and compelling you’ve come to the right book. I would recommend this to new thriller/horror readers, because it’s not got a lot of triggering content. Mild body horror. I would not say it’s scary, but the existential dread does creep up on you and makes you question your life choices.
