Publisher's Summary

Serious issues in our society are addressed.

As part of a three-book series, this title touches on two concerns in our countries that are closer to us than we think: domestic violence and suicide.

The stats don’t lie. Reports of domestic violence are ever-increasing. Some are puzzled by these numbers. They don’t always know what can be considered real violence and what is just exaggeration. Others become victims of uncontrolled tempers, addicts, and cheaters and are scarred for life. How can we recognize it and stop it? That’s the question we’ll address here.

In this scholarly research, experts have taken a precise, keen look at the root causes of suicide, the comparison between countries and areas, life circumstances, and the best ways to prevent this sad phenomenon. Poverty, schizophrenia, and life traumas can all to the causes.

Sad but true

It's sad things like this happen, but it's true and part of reality. Our minds seem to keep terrorizing us and create awful consequences.

Exactly what I was looking for

This book has all the elements I was looking for to dive into the traumatic lives of some. It's a nonfiction, explanatory, research-oriented guide with all kinds of facts that make you realize the scope of the related issues.

Not fun but worth listening to

This is some serious, tragic material, but informative as well, so important in my eyes.

Difficult people

Dealing with abusive or psychotic people can be a real trauma. I wish I understood more of this before this but fortunately, now I do.

these are serious issues

And it's good that there are books out there like this one and that it reveals the abuse and drama going on in society behind closed doors.

How to deal with difficult people

I've read similar books on this topic, but this one beats them all. I think the suicide facts and points the author brings across are particularly interesting.
