Publisher's Summary

The horrors and facts about sexual and emotional abuse are outlined.

Emotional and sexual abuse are serious issues. The victims always get manipulated, and most times, this happens in very subtle, sinister ways. The causes and consequences of emotional abuse, which sometimes may or may not include the sexual component, are well worth studying, since they happen all around us, sometimes even a few doors away from us.

Knowledge about abuse enables us to stop it, to recognize it when it’s real, and to identify the lies and false claims because of false symptoms. Almost every person in life has either experienced some abuse or knows someone who has been abused. Many people nowadays also find themselves in families or groups with people who have been falsely accused of such atrocities.

Scars need to heal, abuse needs to be prevented, and in this, the 21st century, we need a generation that takes the whole concept more seriously and helps each other achieve greater harmony and healthier minds. Rise up and do your background research by studying this concise, clear manual.

The abuse and heartache behind the doors

I've read about abuse and domestic violence before, and it's sad that it happens, but good to know about it and know what to look for when it happens or what to do about it.

It's good to be aware of this.

I wasn't aware of many things this book talks about. I am happy I found this book and I recommend it.

There is abuse all around us

And this book sheds some light on what happens behind closed doors. It's good these books exist.

Good job

Good for Lindsey Kensington to put it all out there, the things that happen to people and all that.

Myeah,....

It sucks that there is so much abuse in the world. The stats don't lie, or at least, as far as we know. It's good to have books like this clarify the causes and consequences.

Awful that this happens

I thought this was an interesting book because it shows the reality of life and society.

Abusive is terrible

And it's good to have books that reveal that terribleness and bring it to light. Thanks, Lindsey.

I was interested the whole time and I didn't go do something else in the meantime. Very engaging information.

Good

Just good. Is there anything wrong with saying a book is just good? Of course not. I recommend this one.

Nice book

I think these topics need to be addressed, so it's nice to have books like this. I personally know people with a trauma.

This is awful

And by that, I don't mean the book is awful, but the things they talk about in the book are awful. It's awful that these things happen, but I still think it's good to be aware of them.

Great job narrating this piece of information!

Interesting

Food for thought, that's for sure. It's a great way to become familiar with the fact that this abuse is out there.
