This is the story of Abraham Vandal (1758-1848) who fought with General George Washington at the Battles of White Plains and Long Island during the Revolutionary War as told by award-winning author Nancy Richmond and Vandal family historian, Chuck Hield.

This meticulous documentation includes the 1833 Revolutionary War Pension application of Abraham Vandal, Revolutionary War military records, New York State comptroller records, Sons of the American Revolution records, Masterson Genealogy Firm records, DNA records, and Bible records, many of which are contained in the book.
