About Rage, a fast-paced psychological horror drama rife with twists and turns, explores the inner journey and murderous exploits of serial killer Emily Sand and her alter ego, the Rider. Emily must soon come to grips with a mysterious stranger entering her life. Has he been watching her every move...or watching over her? And if so, for what purpose?
Together with unlikely allies, including a therapist whom Emily abducted to better understand her compulsions, she confronts the betrayals and abuse of her past to navigate her present situation, and battle a seemingly omnipotent enemy.
The free soundtrack for About Rage, written and composed by Peter Douglas and Erin Banks, is on Spotify, YouTube, and most other available platforms.

The story itself is a twisting & turning ride into the diabolical world of hunter & prey. Sometimes leaving the reader to wonder which one Emily was. I feel like the story often seems to sexualize & romanticize murder steering it away from the psychological aspects I enjoy & into a disturbing graphic horror story that is less my tastes. If you like American Psycho this feel intentionally or unintentionally to be a female story equivalent. As the story goes on, there does become a very catch me if you can vibe to it & many additional characters get added into the mix making you feel like it's a large cast murder mystery.
Overall, I think the story does well at diving into the minds of killers. It has a lot of suspense & it's well written. However, I felt the final third became too crowded with new characters & storylines. It might work for many readers, but it veered off of the type of story I hoped it would be. It seemed to blend too many separate themes together. It's a great story for the right audience, but I didn't connect with any of the characters & felt style wise it was in the right neighborhood to what I was looking for but it wasn't the right street. I'm glad I got to read this & I'm interested in reading more from this author.
Great dive into the mind of a female serial killer
