As a woman, artist and tenured professor, who only recently received my diagnosis in my early 40s - and then went on the inevitable search for information on how best to proceed - I think that this book, when coupled with others that address the nuts and bolts of neuroscience and differences in brain structures (ADHD 2.0, by Dr. Ned Hallowell, the 30-minute video, “What is ADHD?” by Dr. William Dodson on understood.org via YouTube and various works and conversations that focus on how ADHD manifests differently in women - and why that research is only recently being done and made available - Mel Robbins - (her first video on it), episodes on ADHD Chatter, How to ADHD, and many more…plus Russel Barkley’s researcb. info about the hunter / gatherer (ADHD brain) v. farmer (“neurotypical” brain)…

THIS book, in my opinion, is the critical, inspiring, missing piece…the missing manual, that, when coupled with the neuroscience, inevitable challenges and devastating hurdles for those with ADHD - when living in a world that’s currently designed and built for those with “neurotypically” structured brains (currently - the “farmer’s” brain type) - this book (not alone, but with those that dive into the neuro mechanics) ….

THIS book, is critical, the best one, for providing the blueprint for how to best advocate for yourself - for others with ADHD, for those who do not have ADHD, but work and/or live with those who do - this book, coupled with the others, is necessary for us to work together and optimize success.

It’s ultimately not just about ADHD, but the exciting advantages…of learning about the unique powers of the various, structurally different neurotypes, understanding the biological differences, resulting challenges, and unique strengths, how to tap into the strengths, use teamwork to navigate challenges, how to educate others, to maximize human potential and progress as a whole.

Magnificent, critical information for all!
