It opened my eyes to a lot of ways

After listening to it, it opened my eyes to a lot of ways to both increase my productivity and decrease the problems I have interacting with others in my day-to-day life. On top of that, and more importantly, it made me realize a lot of other things that affect my everyday life are cause my ADHD, even when I was unaware that they were.

Thank you so much for the book and tips.

As you know we just need a little encouragement and ideas to help us in our lives. I plan to listen to this over and over again. As a man who feels like I can't ask for help and often lay in bed crying, just hearing another man say they have done the same thing for the same reasons is helpful in ways that can't be expressed. Thank you so much for the book and tips.

I finished this in less than 24 hour

I finished this in less than 24 hours and can’t wait to relisten. Being 32 and just finding out that ADHD has been the answer to soooo many baffling questions and pains in my life has been the best thing to ever happen to me and I’ve digested countless books (actually about 6 so far :) in an attempt to figure out “what now”. My therapist has been awesome,

I'm not crazy, depressed, anxious, or lazy

I'm not crazy, depressed, anxious, or lazy like I believed before...this book opened up a whole world of misunderstood knowledge that people need to know, so the stigma can end surrounding ADHD...it's even inspired me to write my personal story of suffering and trying to deal with this neurological disorder through educational documentaries, lectures, and every book ever explained in the subject.

Perfectly entertaining with just enough practical

Not the most illuminating book or chock full of new info, but perfectly entertaining with just enough practical take-aways to keep me quite happy listening. I will be giving it to my very ADHD 13 yo niece next!

Never have I related so closely to a book

Never have I related so closely to a book. I wish my parents would have listen this book when I was growing up! I have already recommended it to 3 moms who have kids that show the same sign/symptoms. It’s a great look into the ADHD mind, and coping mechanisms that turn into superpowers!

The author demonstrates how ADHD can be a Plus

Several people contribute their own stories to the book and share some techniques they use to cope with a faster than a normal brain. The author demonstrates how ADHD can be a Plus in life and not a negative diagnosis that hinders you.

A book to help you focus more

A book to help you focus more and be more organized. Although the book is geared more for people with ADHD, I think many will find the techniques and tools that Peter uses to help them focus on whether they have ADHD or not.

Recommending this to the psychologist

I will be recommending this to the psychologist who initially diagnosed (I beg the author's forgiveness for using that term) me with ADHD. This is not an academic overview of ADHD, but a much more useful, practical "How to" guide for how to THRIVE with ADHD

A must-listen for anyone with ADHD

The mindset, thoughts, and actions Peter shares in this book could easily be the first 3 chapters of my autobiography. A must-listen for anyone with ADHD, friends, and family is those with the gift, and teachers of all ages. Any manager or team leader could benefit from this book as well. The ability to relate and support a gifted employee would pay dividends.

Why so many five star reviews?!

I bought this book based on the 100 five star reviews. Maybe they were listening to a different book altogether because I didn't make it to the end of this book.

The narration is awful, it sounds like it has been machine-read. The narrator is soooo monotone.

The book itself seems to be just a collection of lists or bullet points and the narrator sounds like he is reading out a shopping list.

I would suggest that anyone thinking of buying this one listens to a sample first and then image over 4 hours of that, monotone list-reading. If that's your thing then go for it, but given the subject matter I can't help but find irony in the most boring of books!

As with a lot of these books, this is aimed at the American audience, which is worth knowing if you live in a different healthcare environment.

good general book

This is a good general book about ADHD. It didn't offer much new insight for me, but maybe because there is no magic bullet in working with this condition. If you're looking for a good general read, this does provide a great deal of good info.
