Publisher's summary

New York Times best-selling author Ted Dekker delivers the gripping story of Maviah, a slave who becomes a queen in Arabia in AD 33.

They call her the Queen of the Outcasts. Maviah, a woman whose fate was sealed on her birth by this world - unwanted, illegitimate, female, a slave - subject to the whims of all. But then she met a man named Yeshua who opened her eyes. She found strength in his words, peace from the brutal word around her. Because of what he taught her, she has gathered her own traveling kingdom of outcasts deep in the desert, wielding an authority few have seen. But when her growing power threatens the rulers around her, they set out to crush all she loves, leaving her reeling as a slave once more. She must find Yeshua to save her people, but when she does, she will be horrified to discover that he faces his own death.

Enter a story full of intrigue, heart-wrenching defeat, uncompromising love, and staggering victory - one that reexamines everything you thought you knew about the heart of Jesus' stunning message and the power that follows for those who follow his easily forgotten way.

The story was realistic and entertaining. But the reality of the message is life- changing on so many levels!

Soul and heart moving.

This book was absolutely amazing! I couldn’t stop listening to it. And when I did all I could do was think about it. The way Jesus is portrayed is perfect. Although this book is fiction it allows you to see the true Jesus,Christ Son of God. And the struggle of the true believe it’s real. I found this book lovely.

Surprisingly good!

I had read AD 30 and found it an enjoyable read. The plot was unique and very creative. AD 33 started off with more of the same but a third to half way through I found myself wearying of tragic situations. I put the book down for awhile. When I returned I hit a spot in the story that grabbed my attention and then I was off. I could not put it down. I had to finish it.

This is obviously a Christian book but Dekker does quite a commendable job of bringing the reader into a fresh perspective of Yeshua from a vantage point of a non-Jewish Bedouin. Even when it appeared it was going to be a bit preachy at one point the author held back using an allegorical dream to communicate his point.

Thoroughly enjoyed it!

Love everlasting!

This is a very well written story that will lift your soul and remind you of the everlasting love our Heavenly Father has for us. A must listen; this is the conclusion to the story started in A.D. 30. It gets a little slow at times and you want to narrator to speed it up, but just hang in there, it is well worth the time.

Both books nailed it!!

As usual Ted has written an exciting story in these 2 books. Although the story was fiction, the telling of Christ's life, death and resurrection was as real as what really happened. Love of God has always been the biggest theme in all Ted's books, and this one hit the nail on the head. And the narrator, Ellen Archer, that you chose for these books is amazing, I will purchase more that she has narrated. Thanks Ted!

Inspiring book

I found the follow up to "AD 30" very inspiring. It takes you to the time of the Crucifixion of Jesus Christ and makes the people who witnessed it real. It is an exciting book full of action.

Fabulous. Would give 10 Stars if possible !

I can't seem to find the right words to describe how much the work impacted me. I first read AD 30. I would recommend doing that. It's an easy listen because you hate to stop. Ellen Archer was wonderful. She drew you into the story immediately, please get this if you are trying to decide, you won't be sorry.
