Publisher's summary

In honor of Madeleine L'Engle's 100th birthday, fans are invited to enjoy this archival audiobook, originally recorded in 1993 and newly restored! Listen to the voice of the author as Madeleine L'Engle reads her Newbery Medal-winning novel A Wrinkle in Time.

Meg Murry, her little brother, Charles Wallace, and their mother are having a midnight snack on a dark and stormy night when an unearthly stranger appears at their door. He claims to have been blown off course, and goes on to tell them that there is such a thing as a "tesseract", which, if you didn't know, is a wrinkle in time. Meg's father had been experimenting with time travel when he suddenly disappeared. Will Meg, Charles Wallace, and their friend Calvin outwit the forces of evil as they search through space for their father?

Bridging science and fantasy, darkness and light, fear and friendship, the story has become a classic of children's literature and is beloved around the world.

A Wrinkle in Time is the first audiobook in The Time Quintet, which consists of A Wrinkle in Time, A Wind in the Door, A Swiftly Tilting Planet, Many Waters, and An Acceptable Time.

Beautiful and Well Written

Never knew about this book until it was mentioned in an episode of Ted Lasso.

I was curious to know what would make it famous enough to find its way into Hollywood.

I was surprised by the story and enjoyed the main characters quite a bit. This is definitely a classic worth experiencing.

The fact that it is read by author is a super bonus. She knows exactly the
Intent of every word. Very cool.

One of my favorite books read by the author

This was my first audio book experience and I think I’m hooked. I was excited to find this version read by the author and how certain aspects would be handled such as Mrs Which’s dialogue. Looking forward to A Wind In The Door next.

If you haven’t read/listened to this yet, it’s often marketed as a young adult book but it’s very enjoyable as an adult. I first read it in fifth grade. It has several levels that can be appreciated by all ages.

This book captures the imagination in a unique and delightful way! I wish I had been introduced to this book and this author years ago! I hope to make up for lost time as I read acquire and read each of Madeleine L’engle’s published stories!

Mom reads her own story

The force of her voice and depth of commitment to the characters and their story reveal the authors intent better than any visual medium has so far. Think of her children getting this book chapter by chapter ! Amazing Mom reading, amazing author, and her own forward and her granddaughters Prologue, great experience . I highly recommend

Great story!

Narration perhaps not the best, but love the story. Read it to our children when they were young and I enjoyed listening to it for myself. I would say it is a story about the strength of love.
