Publisher's summary

Elizabeth “Lizzie” Petrie has it all. She’s rich, beautiful, intelligent, and successful. None of this matters to her mom. Les-bi-an. That’s all her mom sees.

Even though Lizzie insists her mom’s antagonism does not bother her, Lizzie distances herself from her entire family. When her brother, Peter, calls her out of the blue to announce he’s getting married, Lizzie’s entire life changes drastically. Peter’s fiancée wants to bring the lesbian outcast back into the family. Will this desire cause Lizzie to lose everything dear to her?

Sarah, Lizzie’s girlfriend, is ecstatic about this change in Lizzie’s personal life. Sarah, the hopeless romantic, wants it all, including settling down with the fiercely independent Lizzie.

Can Lizzie be tamed? And can she survive her family and all of their secrets?

The main character Lizzie is indeed “A Woman Lost”

The story follows Lizzie’s relationships with her lover, best friend and family. It describes the upbringing of a family that helps create a person with a lot of personal self-doubt/worth and tends to sabotage her personal relationships while still being very successful in her business life. The story has twists and turns that will keep you guessing on the outcome.

Great Story!

The Woman Lost series is well worth the listen. The characters pull you in from the start. They are real and flawed and likeable. This is the kind of story that you would like to crawl inside, take a seat in the corner and watch what happens next. It definitely leaves you wanting more! Also, Stephanie Murphy does a great job narrating this.

Great story, fun characters

The storyline was very good. I loved the part about the second chance. The main character was trying to find herself and I loved the trip. Great happy ending. So positive. I recommend the book.

Brilliant start of the series

I've always liked Markinson way of telling stories, and this time she dazzles us with a very different and definitely non-traditional romance.

The book takes us through all the adventures and misadventures of Lizzie and Sarah go through, while willingly or not Lizzie figures everything out, until she realises the biggest mistake of her life. Luckily learning from it and with the help of Maddie (another wonderful character that is a great addition), Lizzie starts making amends and workout her relationship with Sarah.

I loved the story, the characters are very special, they really are the heart of the story, they’re so human, so real, some absolutely lovable and some not so much, as is in real life, and even when throughout most of the story we're mad at Lizzie and trying to slap some sense in her, Markinson did an excellent job with the character development and the interaction between them that helps to achieve that.

It's a great book and just a brilliant wonderful book one for the series, coming after a very interesting prequel. Narrated by Stephany Murphy who did a fantastic job, she managed to transmit all the feels and real deal of the raw emotions given by the characters involved, she captured Markinson’s story very well.

I like to recommend this book and the whole series; it is brilliant, engaging and very well written. Also, the narration is very good and does great justice.

Lizzie continues to seek.....listen for the answer

T.B. Markinson did an incredible job with this novel. It continues to peer into Lizzie's weird take on the world and her interesting perception of how it works. Lizzie is so lost and even with many folks helping this is a relationship novel that shouldn't be missed. It is as amusing as it is angst producing. The dynamics between characters is so varied yet so well written that you can't stop once you start. As usual Stephanie Murphy brings her incredible talent to the narration of this piece. I would suggest that prior to enjoying this audio book that you experience the first book in this series titled A Clueless Woman. It provides much helpful back story and insight into some of the quirks in A Woman Lost. Bravo to T. B.. Markinson for a another great book about women who love women.

Cute, Charming and Funny!

This is book # 5 of a 7 book series. I listened to the entire series from 1-7 in 9 days. Just when I would say to myself, "last book for a few days", the Author TB Markinson would leave me in some sort of cliff hanger. I count my blessing that had all seven books at the same time!

The narrator in one of my favorite narrators however, in this series, I needed to speed up her performance to 1.1 because it sounded a little slow, especially in parts where she performed as a man. But overall she did a great job.

I have listened to a total of 13 of her books (including a co-write with Miranda McLeod) and with each book, I think her craft has improved. Her books are fantastic!
