Great listen!

I listened to book 2 before this one and loved it so much I came back for book 1.

The MFC has the ability to heal but it’s a secret that she does not share. She is currently a single parent and, although content with her job as an EMT, would like to study to become a doctor or nurse.

The MMC is the former hometown bad boy who is back after he loses someone close to him. While in high school, he used alcohol and drugs and cause an accident, he did, however, become clean and go in to run his own IT company.

These two have a history and they reunite but there is some trouble that cause some issues, but they do get their HEA.
This was a great story and narration was wonderful.

Very Slow Burn

This is a sweet and very slow burn second chance story. I did feel that the h was a bit too whiny and kept jumping to her own conclusions every time the H was trying to apologize or explain something, but other than that found the story cute and the little toddler Holden's very sweet and crazy antics. The narrator did a good job with the characters but think the H's character would've come out a little better with a male voice.

Great second chancesecond chance love story

I love a good second chance romance. A Touch of Healing gives you all that and more. The story was very captivating, and I couldn’t put the book down! Laura and Carter were together in high school until a tragedy broke them apart. Years later Carter comes home, and he has a bad wreck. Laura is the paramedic that tends to him. He is trying to win her back, but can he be trusted? She is a single mom, and she has that to consider too. This is a lovely, romantic story, and I can’t wait to read the next one.

Sweet and Heartfelt

I absolutely loved this romance novel! Laura, a single mom and paramedic, is hiding a secret that only her father knows. When her high school love, Carter, reappears in her life, Laura finds herself rethinking everything—her life with her young son, and the complicated feelings she still has for Carter. This book is a steamy, emotional journey filled with heartbreak, friendship, forgiveness, and, of course, love. The romance between Laura and Carter is both sweet and sizzling, with their shared past adding depth and complexity to their chemistry. I really enjoyed how the author developed each character, making it easy to get completely absorbed in the story. I listened to the audiobook version, and Frances Anderson, the narrator, did a fantastic job. Her voice was soothing yet captivating, truly enhancing the experience. I loved her performance and can’t wait for book 2—I’m eager to see what other secrets will be uncovered!

Beautiful second chance story! ❤️

I really enjoy Kathryn K. Murphy’s books!  Laura and Carter have a history that was not the best, but they have been brought together by an accident that has given them a second chance.  They are great together and this is a steamy, wonderful story, but they have some things to work through before they get there.  You will love all of the characters in this story, especially Laura’s son!  The narrator, Frances, did a great job narrating this book.  She brought the characters to life, and she gave each character a unique voice.  I am looking forward to the next book.

Positively Enjoyable!!

This was a lovely story! I enjoyed the depth of the characters, from Laura being single mom doing her best for her small family, to Carter being raised by a single mom to becoming a billionaire. Laura is such a strong character, but she's also a little stubborn because she wants what is best for Holden and sometimes that means asking a certain ex-boyfriend and current billionaire for help. Her and Carter's interactions were perfect!
I loved Holden! He's such a sweet, happy boy! But also the story with a 3 (almost 4 year old) is excellent birth control for me because I definitely don't have the patience Laura does.
The paranormal element is pretty small in the story and it's largely contemporary.
The story does set up for the rest in the series and the second book recently came out, so something to look forward to!

The story is told in dual POV, from Laura and Carter's perspectives. It contains swearing, some steam, discussions of alcohol/drug abuse, and the main character is an EMT, so there is discussions of medical procedures.

I liked the narrator. I thought she did a fine job telling the story. Though, there were times where I had a little trouble figuring out if it was an inner monologue or if the character was actually speaking. I also listened at 1.1x speed and I enjoyed it more at that speed.

This story has magic and great characters that you love getting to know and it’s just a general feel good story that you will love and the narration is really fantastic

Small-Town Second Chance Romance

Kathryn K. Murphy wrote a wonderful small town second chance romance. Frances Anderson did a wonderful job with the narration. This is the first book in The Sisters in Sirens Series. The story is entertaining,interesting, funny,steamy and romantic. You don’t always get a second chance at love. For Laura and Carter that chances has come, but can Laura forgive Carter for all the broken promises he made in the past. Only one way to find out. I received a free copy of this book and I am voluntarily leaving a review. Highly recommend
