Critic Reviews

"Grisham's pleasure in relating the Byzantine complexities of Clanton (Mississippi) politics is contagious and he tells a good story.... An enjoyable book." (Library Journal)

"Grisham excels!" (Dallas Times Herald)

A Great Read

The narrator was not boring. The book held my attention and it was with a great plot. I love how the author put his skill as a lawyer into it. It is a story is true to life when you look at the atrocities that Africans in America have gone through since slavery.

Excellent Read, Narrated Beautifully!

Would you consider the audio edition of A Time to Kill to be better than the print version?

I absolutely think the narrated version is better than the printed version.

Who was your favorite character and why?

My favorite character was the defense lawyer, with his calm, cool and collected demeanor. I enjoyed when he threw in his sense of humor and wit when he was frustrated.

Which scene was your favorite?

My favorite scene was the many times the Defense lawyer would visit Lucien. I enjoyed their banter back and forth and hearing Lucian's wisdom poor through in his talks.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes, and I did just that!
