She proves that her first day of her new job in my office, after being hired by my mother. Publisher's Summary
Joanna Price is a city girl with the perfect life. She loves her job as a book editor, she just married Liam, high-profile, best-selling author and the man of her dreams, and she's headed to the Caribbean to enjoy two weeks of paradise for her luxurious honeymoon.
Connor Duffield is a gruff, grumpy rancher from the Midwest. He is a country boy who has a no-nonsense approach to life, more scars than he'd like to admit, and he hates city girls.
So it's just a misfortune they have to sit next to each other for a six-hour plane ride. Even more so when their flight is caught in the perfect storm and Joanna wakes up stranded on a desert island with Connor, the very man she hoped she would never have to see again.
Why are they alone on this forsaken island? What happened to Joanna's husband?
When her dream honeymoon turns into a hilarious tropical nightmare, Joanna's first thought is survival. However, she and Connor will quickly discover just how boring paradise can be. As the days turn to weeks, and then months, this mismatched pair will have to learn how to coexist and how to resist the sparkles of an attraction they weren't prepared to feel.
When they are finally rescued, will Joanna's marriage be saved as well, or will the life she knew and loved be in ruins?

Hidden Summer Gem
I wish I could remember whose review I read that compelled me to buy this book but I'd like to thank them. This is a perfectly breezy summer book that isn't trashy or too sappy. Yes, you can still expect a heroine who can be annoying at times and completely unbelievable scenarios. However, you can enjoy a romance where people actually get to know each other, are realistic about past relationships, and someone trying to find themselves. It's funny, sweet, and reminiscent of Sophie Kinsella. Hope this author will have more books coming soon.

Five Crushing Stars!
What an AMAZING story! I LOVED it!
I believe a good romance should take you away from the everyday, evoke emotions, and make you fall in love with the characters, and that's actually what A Sudden Crush did! I was rooting for Connor and Anna from the very beginning!
The plot was captivating, with lot's of humor, and a little heartache, but with a heart warming HEA. (The story is told from Joanna's POV.) I was hooked from the first page, and hanging on to each chapter. From the very moment Connor and Joanna met on the plane, their personalities just did not mix, so when they ended up marooned on an island together, it was funny picturing these two going from hostile, to co-existing to actually getting along. For being the only two people of the island, they eventually made a good team.
Don't want to spoil anymore of the plot, but I will say following Joanna throughout the story is like an emotional roller coaster with lot's of ups and downs. I actually laughed and cried with this story!
Not sure if this is Tami Leah Lacy's first audiobook she's narrated, but she did an OUTSTANDING job! All the characters sounded great, and she delivered on all of different the emotions. Kudos!
I received this audiobook in exchange for an honest review, and honestly loved the story. I definitely recommend this story for any romantic at heart! It was excellent!

Amazing!! Can't stop raving about this book!!
I was given this book in exchange for an honest review.
Hahaha, I love the beginning!! It’s just so cool and hilarious! I know I’m gonna love the rest of the book!!!
I have just finished the book and can safely say that I’m emotionally winded!! OMG!! The book is a rollercoaster ride and a wonderful one at that. The synopsis of the book is so totally off point. It summarizes that the book is about a new bride on the way to her honey moon who falls in love with the person she sits next to on the plane. This is sooo wrong. She doesn’t fall for the guy next to her in a single plane ride. The fact that she’s stranded on a deserted island for 5 months with this guy is totally missed out. I know the author tried us make it out so we don’t feel like castrating Liam towards the end of the book where Joanna understands, or is supposed to understand what Liam when through and how he’s devoted to his baby daughter and all that. Frankly he’s a pathetic excuse for a man. I just want to tie him up to a pole and set fire to him. Let’s not forget the champaign while we watch him burn. I loved that Joanna is a woman of strong character, a person who stood by her man even though she had no ideas if he was alive or not. Something we can’t say for the ‘Swine’! How she picked herself up and made things happen for herself after everything and everybody seemed to be against her. I just loved Joanna! I couldn’t help rooting for her verbally out loud while I was reading this book.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book and would love to read more from this particular author. It’s a shame this is a stand alone title, would have loved a series where Liam and Joanna are pitted against each other more often.

Surprising lack of romance in a romance. I appreciated that it wasn’t the, “these two fall madly in love after a week!” But I really think the development of their relationship was only like 35% of the story.

A funny survival story
What did you like best about A Sudden Crush? What did you like least?
I like how easy going it feels, the story could have been very different because the main character is in a plane accident but it takes a much more laidback approach and I never felt scared for the characters but more entertained by them. I didn’t like Joanna’s personality all the time, having the story told from her point of view was OK but I would have liked to know what Connor was thinking too.
What did you like best about this story?
I really appreciated how devoted Joanna was to her husband even though she didn’t know what happened to him.
Was A Sudden Crush worth the listening time?
If you’re looking for a fun story I think A Sudden Crush is a good time.

Funny, Refreshing, and Enjoyable!
I loved this book and I don’t say that about many books! It is funny, refreshing, entertaining and all consuming. I didn’t want to stop listening once I began. It is a light, fun, chick-lit story that is very well written.
I received the Audible version of this book in exchange for an honest review. The book was narrated by Tami Leah Lacy and she did an awesome job. It flowed well and the voice was pleasing. Not too fast or too slow and just the right amount of character voice change.
I totally recommend this book. It is a quick read/listen and you won’t be disappointed!

If Survivor and Bridget Jones Had A Baby
When first reading the synopsis of A Sudden Crush I was fascinated. I could practically envision the comedic elements that would take place in A Sudden Crush so I had no problem saying "yes" to reviewing the audio for this story. Sadly, I didn't have a premonition into how irritating the heroine, Joanna Price, would be, or how sympathetic I would feel towards the hero, Connor Duffield.
After I read the synopsis for A Sudden Crush I really hoped that Joanna's husband, Liam, would've died in the crash to make it okay for her having fallen for Connor while they were stranded. I don't know if it makes me a despicable human being or not, but when all the red flags kept flying around as Joanna revealed, through her own retelling, of how Liam and her came to be in the beginning of A Sudden Crush I had no problem with her moving on to someone who would be a "man" for her and not someone looking to have checked something off their life goals list. Liam seemed like a real butt hole because anyone who allows their significant other to gets stressed about every little thing that went wrong on the day of their wedding but remains as indifferent as a stranger screams uninterested.
Connor made A Sudden Crush an enjoyable listen for me, and Tami's narration of his character was perfect! His character will definitely have you laughing by how much he didn't care that Joanna acted like every little thing was the end of her world. Connor's stoic, or grumpy, attitude made me glad I chose to listen to A Sudden Crush instead of reading it myself; Tami's narration just made his character pop better than I think reading it myself would've done.
Other than the immature and brattish personality of Joanna, and how Tami made her sound like a high school teenager, the story of A Sudden Crush was solid. A little too contemporary for me but enjoyable nonetheless.
