Publisher's summary

"A pinch of Potter blended with a drop of [Cassandra Clare's] Infernal Devices." (Justine Magazine)

"Plot twists so good they will leave you reeling." (Traci Chee, New York Times best-selling author of The Reader)

It's time for her power to rule.

As Henrietta nervously awaits her marriage to Lord Blackwood, she discovers that Sorrow-Fell is not a safe haven from the bloodthirsty Ancients. It's a trap. So with her friend Maria and Magnus, the young man who once stole her heart, at her side, Henrietta plots a dangerous journey straight into the enemy's lair.

Some will live. Some will die. All will be tested.

In this stunning conclusion to the Kingdom on Fire series, Henrietta must choose between the love from her past, the love from her present, and a love that could define her future. While battles rage, the fate of the kingdom rests on her decision: Will she fall or rise up to become the woman who saves the realm?

Deeply satisfying conclusion

I loved the first two so much that I was nervous that the end might not be satisfying...it was better than I could have hoped. Icanmot wait to listen again!

Fantastic conclusion to the Kingdom on Fire series

A Sorrow Fierce and Falling is the third and final book of the Kingdom of Fire series. Fiona Hardingham continues her fine job of narrating the series. Her variety of accents help her give unique voices to each of the characters.

Henrietta is locking in battle with the Ancient Ones. This time the battle is not just for London but for the world. The Ancient Ones wish to swallow the British Isles whole and then move on to the rest of the world. Henrietta finds more clues on how the Ancient Ones came to our world and hopes one of the clues will help her defeat them. Sorcerers, witches, faeries, magicians and a young Queen Victoria populate this England at war. If you read books 1 and 2, you need to read book 3 to see the conclusion. If you haven't read the series yet, check it out.

It was very hard to write this review without spoilers. I am afraid I did not do the book justice.

Thoroughly enjoyed!

I’m not much one to write reviews, so I’ll keep it short. I thoroughly enjoyed taking part of Jessica’s world of magicians, sorcerers and witches. It was a great escape. Loved Henrietta, Rook and Magnus, and many other characters in this series. What a creative mind you have Ms. Cluess.

Everyday emotions in their full complexity and truth make this epic magical series come to life... real magical. This is by far best series I've read this year.

I love when plots have all the loose ends tied up and strong character arcs. I highly recommend the series.

A Satisfying Ending to the series

I really enjoyed how the story ended. The book provided closure to all of the characters and plot lines. The best part was the character growth of all of the characters, which made the ending very satisfying.
