Full circle

Book 8, Derek and Sofia have their twins and life couldn’t be going any smoother excepted the doubts that now plague Sofia about the mysterious kidnapping going on so close to where her adventure started. Derek and Sofia turn back into vampires to be able to protect their children and help their community. I was disappointed with what seems like the series starting over only with the children. It doesn’t seem new and imaginative and I was hoping for a happy yet more dramatic ending to Sofia and Derek’s story. OK job once again by the narrators however the narration of Rose does not draw me in as Sophie did and Caleb seems to be missing personality. He sounds like he’s reading the book not performing it.

Didn't like one of the narrators.

I think this book was wonderful, showing Sophia and Derek Novak as parents was a wonderful idea, and sharing the story from the point of view from there twins was also a great great idea, but the only thing I didn't like was the narrator of Aiden Claremont, like it was really horrible, did anybody noticed in one of the parts of the story if I am not mistaken the six Chapter when he goes into a throat clearing frenzy??? and also burps, like was that part of the story😕 LOL, anyways I thought that was so disgusting... Like next time put mute on your recording or something and then continue the story please😞😞😞😞😲😫😫😫😤😳

Disappointment

Well, I was intrigued in the beginning and even got sucked in but as soon as I started to embrace the story the book was over. This book was to rushed and didn't have enough development. They just started the plot and then the book was over. I get that they want to suck you in but at least leave off on a better cliff hanger.... Or something after more development happens. It was also too similar to the first shade book with just a slightly different twist. I was hoping with a little more of a storyline here. I will read the next one but if it's just as disappointing I will discontinue reading the series. 😐

Great series, but one narrator is horrible!!

I am in to this series and will continue to the end. All of the narrations have been great up until this book when Caleb was introduced. The Caleb narrator is just awful. He stumbles over words and sounds as though is in just reading words off of a page. He pauses and puts inflections in all of the wrong places. It's totally distracting since he is the main male character. I will have to try very hard to focus on the story and not his horrible narration in the future books. Too bad no one really listened to how he sounds compared to a dynamic narrator like the narrator for Kiev who is great in this series. Still a fan but had to write a review on this one.

Not as good as the earlier books.

I was disappointed Rose told most of the story in this book. I'm fine with kids growing up and becoming part of the players, but Sofia had very little time in this book. If your using all the narrators, it would have been nice to have had Sophia and Derek's point of view during the major plot line. That made no sense. And while I'm all for the love at first sight, Rose showed no concern for what happen to her because she likes Caleb. Again understand it's turning into a love story, but the author really made it seem she was suffering from Stockholm syndrome. I also felt that the author took certain pieces of the book from other series. Twilight.,Immortals After Dark, etc.. The author does do a good job of having all kinds of twists in her story's, but I can see several things that have been pulled from other series.

However, I will get the next book. They aren't bad, but they aren't completely original.

Caleb and Rose are my favorite

I have read all of the Shade tales up to about #45 or so. For some reason the story of Rose and Caleb is my favorite. Rose is fun and sweet, but I love the wounded warrior Caleb. Instead of moving forward in the series, I’ve found myself coming back to this one.

It started out good

It started out good but right when I was enjoying the story it ended. I wished it would've been longer. It was pretty good though.

New characters and new twists!

I love it! I am looking forward to where it goes from here. The suspense is killing me.
