Why are they getting shorter?

Very confused by the books getting shorter, yet, costing the same. Seems like I'm being used as a reader.

The Best yet!

This was the best of the Shade books I have read. All have been hard to put down but this was the hardest to leave. Loved the ending!

The Elders take over

Books 7 in the series we get to know the Elders and how sadistic they really are. It was heartbreaking hearing the things play out between the separate couples and what they were made to put each other through. I felt that Derek should have sensed earlier that Sofia was not truly in control of her vessel. It was a little drawn out in that aspect for me. I love that Vivian is finally getting a voice and hopefully she will get a life and the love she’s deserved for centuries. I’m not sure how this series has 20 more books in it. I see the end of the war and turmoil for the couple coming soon. Let’s see what the author has in store for us next. Another great performance by the narrators.

Excellent series!!

I'm looking forward to reading the other books in the series! Bella Forrest has left a wide opening for more adventures to come after this book. I wasn't sure if I would like the books because of the younger sounding narrator. After the first book they flowed very easily for me.

Not the best, the story is being stretched.

Okay, I'm not going to lie - I took a long break in the middle of this book. I just couldn't take it anymore. The writing became boring, I lost interest in the characters and it felt more like a chore to finish. I picked it back up today to see if the break helped... nope.

I did manage to finish it, mostly because I hate leaving a book unfinished. I think this series is just too drawn out. It should have stopped before the story lost its appeal. I feel like the author tried to cram way too much into the ending of this book. The first half is long and the second half has so much packed into it that she left out so many details. It's like one thing after another, and no breather in between.

**spoiler**
Example, we spent SO much time on Derrik's change from vampire to human, but when it was her turn, it's not big deal. She went in screamed a bit and came out like it was no big deal. Didn't take more than a paragraph or two.

I'm also over all the characters changing into different things.. vampire to human to witch. Human to vampire, possessed by elders, back to human. Vampire hunter turned vampire friend turned into a bird man?! Seriously?

I think I'll end my time with this series on this book. I would recommend the first 4-5 books in this series, as they were pretty good but I DO NOT suggest you go any further!

Alright

What did you like best about A Break Of Day? What did you like least?

I like a good ending

What other book might you compare A Break Of Day to and why?

House of Night Series.

Would you be willing to try another one of the narrators’s performances?

Emma Galvin makes everything seem so life threatening even when it shouldn't be and it is annoying.
