Grief is something that has always shrouded my life through the loss of relationships with the still living. Grief soaked in guilt drove me to endure and carry the blame, then I got to dance my dog through death over a year ago. She was the one that allowed me to finally transform guilt free grief into the greater understanding of life, love, surrender and being more than I could ever imagine I was. Ironically I had a one on one session with Deb 6 months before Nom-ah died and she prepared me with a little bit of her sparkle for a greater journey I had no idea was coming.

Deb tells her own story and journey of grief in a universal way that echoed the feelings and revelations of my own. She spoke from her own experience, but through her reflections, honesty and understandings she held space for my story alongside hers. More than Surrendering - It's about intention

I love a good memoir for the story line. I love a good story with a lesson. And I love a good lesson with inspiration. Lately, I have looked past all of these and craved stories about intention - recognizing it, realizing it and reaching for it. This book/memoir/story/lesson/inspiration is all about intention. I especially treasure hearing it in the author's own voice, as a narrator can often miss emphasis. With a podcast about grief, I read every book I find about the topic - but this is so much more. It's about where grief can take you and what you can do with it. I'm starting my second listen - I just know there are tidbits I missed on my first listen.
