Curiosity gets the best of Elodie when she discovers an old, abandoned graveyard and a tombstone. She is drawn to that tombstone because it has her name on it, or the name of a distant relative she was named for. Until she tumbles back in time to 1779, right into the Revolutionary War. There are few choices for a woman alone in 1779, and so Elodie joins the Continental Army...as a man.
