Publisher's Summary

Jack Widow hunts for an abducted child in the third novel in the Jack Widow series.

Drifting along a sweltering Texas landscape, former undercover NCIS agent turned drifter, Jack Widow waits at a dusty bus depot when he meets Claire Hood, a grandmother, apparently in distress. It turns out Claire is on a solo mission to rescue her abducted granddaughter. If that wasn't hard enough, the next thing that happens is unimaginable. Claire drops dead - natural causes. Right there.

Widow isn't the kind of guy to let wrongs go. He picks up her bus ticket and takes her place on a simple quest that brings him head to head with a group of deadly enemies who will kill to keep their deadly conspiracy secret. All while giving Jack Widow a reason to kill.

Audible please add the rest of this series!

This is book three in the Jack Widow series and as of now there are no more available on Audible. There are seven more on kindle. I hope these will make it to audio in the near future.
This book is so thrilling. The pace is fast, it starts that way and doesn't let up until it's over.
The publisher's summary gives a pretty good overview and that's good because it doesn't give too much away.
The characters are fleshed out and with each new book you learn more about Jack Widow's past. The scenes, landscape and antagonists are all described with great details but not so much that story gets bogged down or boring.
With this story taking place in 2016 (election year) and in Texas there is quite a bit about the proposed border wall.
Alan Philip Ormond does an excellent job narrating.
This book has my HIGHEST RECOMMENDATIONS.

Don't mess with Widow!

Plot was very good and well researched. All loose ends tied up neatly. I wanted to keep driving so I could hear more of the story!

Was good until......

Was going great until (SPOILER)......................................the part where he finds hood and the daughter at the campsite and gets caught by surprise by a group of militia retards. And then I’d like “ Ahhhh man, I totally forgot that anyone could track an iPhone these days” even though we re repeatedly informed he was a trained navy SEAL with experience in all sorts of electronics. And then letting a group of idiots get the drop on you?!?! Wanted to quit right there but had to at least finish the book to get a tiny bit of satisfaction by writing this review.
