Prince Farren is done being ignored and manipulated. The announcement of an arranged marriage to a princess he's never met is the last straw. But when he flees the palace, leaving his title behind, and seeks escape from the knot of matrimony on a ship, he suddenly finds himself drawn to a fiery pirate woman and wondering if marriage, when chosen, might not be so bad after all.

Mora is desperate to find a cure for her mother, Pirate Queen Aella, even though the stubborn woman insists that it is Mora's turn to take up the mantle of both captain and queen. When a bungled trip ashore results not in information on the healing flower she seeks but instead in the presence of a handsome land-lover with information on her mother's illness, Mora must decide if she will give him her trust all while he tries to steal her heart.
