Publisher's Summary

Captain Willard Phule has whipped his troops into shape, turning Phule's Company from the laughingstock of the Legion into...a crack team of casino security guards.

Now his company is deployed to help an underdeveloped planet. And what better way to utilize their major area of expertise - goofing off - than to turn the planet into the biggest intergalactic playground ever?

This Phule's had a lot of ups and downs. All good ones.

The third installment did not disappoint. The Omega Mob once again sets its sights on getting their job done, pockets full, and staying one set ahead of the opposition.

couldn't finish

I listen to audiobooks during my commute to work, and look for comedies in order to help keep me awake. Found this book on a top 50 comedy list. I only got ~4hrs into the reading before I gave up. The writing is extremely bland, the comedic aspects are nonexistent up to that point, unless you count the title, and I found that I started dreading continuing the story after a while. If anything it put me to sleep during my commute. That said, the voice actor did a fine job: I blame the ultra slow story and tedious dialogue.

Third time is a charm for Phule and his company.

Robert Asprin and Peter J. Heck continue the tale of Willard Phule and his company in this third installment, and it doesn't fail to entertain. I was hooked on the series from the first one, but you don't need to start with the first book to be able to keep up with this one. Though the books definitely follow a sequential order so far, and it helps to continue the story if you can. I am off to the fourth book in the series and I hope you enjoy this one or one of the other books in the series if this is your first time coming here. I rank this series as one of my all time favorites, along with "The Hitchhiker's Guide" by Douglas Adams or "The Stainless Steel Rat" by Harry Harrison.

Great book, great narration

Great book series, highly recommended. The narrator does a great job as well. Fun read.
