The name Dan Reed didn't ring any bells I bet. It isn't Mark Twain or Steven King. So the title is probably what brought you here to read about the contents within the book. Well Sir (Or Madam) this is basically a true/fictional biography of a life well lived; in anthology form. The title that caught your eye is chapter one where we will travel from swimming naked in a canal in Arizona, to a brothel in Mexico. Another chapter will have you traveling with me from visiting a whorehouse with a bunch of senior citizen couples iin Pahrump, Nevada, to driving a tram at the Indy 500, you'll spend an evening sweltering in the back seat of a car while I try to put the make on a girl only to wind up tearing up my dad's Studebaker. We'll revisit a Hawaiian remote wedding vacation gone wrong. You'll follow me through three marriages, over 50 residential moves and plenty of jobs ranging from newspaper delivery and pop bottle sorter to fry cook, cowboy troubadour, shoe and car salesman, pretty lousy disc jockey but pretty adequate newscaster and TV weatherman, handyman, licensed building contractor and house flipper. Along the journey we will see some silly jokes, some song lyrics I have written over the years and learn about some really interesting people and history you never thought you would care to know about. And there is sooooo much more included herewith. It's a crazy ride...

Great Stories, Laugh Out Loud!

This audible book is irreverent, funny, and makes for an entertaining read. An honest look at one man’s life of eighty plus and still counting. Mr. Reed looks back at his life with all its foibles, achievements, beauty and tragedy. Well written, I found this audible book interesting, moving and consistently funny. Mr. Dan Reed narrates his own book; to my ears he is a natural storyteller with a voice that is easy to listen to. My favorite parts of the reading are in the beginning with more than a few laugh-out-loud moments, the later parts become more of a travelogue with humorous anecdotes along the way. A great audible listen, I highly enjoyed the ride along with Mr. Dan Reed, I think you will too.
