The gripping psychological suspense of 2019....

Perfect for fans of Lullaby, Let Me Lie and The Cry.

You love your family. You’d never let anything happen to them...would you?

With three children under 10, Maddie is struggling. On the outside, she’s a happy young mother, running a charity as well as a household. But inside, she’s exhausted. She knows she’s lucky to have to have a support network around her. Not just her loving husband but her family and friends, too.

But is Maddie putting her trust in the right people? Because when tragedy strikes, she is certain someone has hurt her child - and everyone is a suspect, including Maddie herself....

The characters in this book are about to discover that looks can be deceiving...because anyone is capable of terrible things. Even the most innocent, even you.

"Truly gripping: the opening is heart-breaking and it never lets up, all the way to a genuinely shocking denouement." (Alex Lake)

I really enjoyed this. There are lots of twists to keep you guessing, but I have to admit I had it figured out pretty early on. I loved the narrator - Defiantly worth a credit!

Loved it!

The story is fine if not for the horrible fading in and out. There has got to be better volume control. When the reader wants you to know that the character is thinking she practically whispers and then the volume goes back to normal which is super loud. They can’t expect readers to keep controlling and adjusting the volume during the entire book. That really influence my enjoyment of this book.

Horrible reader

Potential Spoilers Past This Point:
So, First ZIG: I suspected who the killer/what the twist was really early on...
then ZAG: The story started leading me down a different path, so I suspected a different killer/twist.
Then ZIG again! Something else crazy happened with a big twist/reveal & even though the idea had crossed my mind very fleetingly at one point, I couldn't understand how it would fit... oh but it did fit seamlessly!
Then ZAG again! My initial thoughts/suspect was revealed & correct. Even though I was able to determine the initial twist/killer very early on in the book, it didn't leave me feeling unsatisfied or like this was predictable. The story was just too good for that.
All I can say is hold on to your seat & keep your hands & legs in the cart at all times & just sit back & enjoy this roller coaster of a book.
The narrator was incredible.
All in all, I can't say enough good things about this story. I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it.

Zigs and Zags all over the place!
