A Midsummer Night's Dream is a delightful tale of true love having to struggle against duty and pride. It has three separate interlocking stories set in Athens, woodland and the realm of the fairies - all under a moonlit night.

Possibly the oldest romcom written it is one of Shakespeare's most popular plays and this blue chip rendition captures the magic with performances including those of Moira Shearer, Stanley Holloway and the cast of the Old Vic

This is abridged. Quite a few passages and lines are taken out - instead of them, we get music... This might suit someone, but I personally feel that if I really wanted to listen to pieces of classical music, I'd get a different track. The listeners are NOT spectators and it is quite boring to go through these intermittent pieces of music in order to finally go back to the text again. Also, with good headphones, the sound quality is quite bad.
