Uh….. Ms. Small?
I was really liking the story, but come on! We got to 30 percent in and her husband couldn’t figure out why she didn’t like coupling! Ummm
The B. Small I knew from the Skye series would have had her heroes um…. Let’s put it this way: feast. I lost respect for his prowess as a man that he didn’t go downward and took his own pleasure. I don’t know if I can forgive him. Sorry. I know it will change but….. she deserved the best when they first regularly got together. I’m sure you will like it tho.🙄

All That A Romantic Story Should Be
After listening to a few duds over the past 3 weeks, I chose Bertrice Small for a solid story that I can count on. Story is different and there are a few weaknesses here and there but it was a good story that stayed true to the period.

I liked it
The story was predictable but I still enjoyed listening to it. I love historical romances and even more when some accounts of real history is weaved into the story line. This was worth my time and would recommend it to others who appreciate a decent historical romance with a bit of spice.
