In each case, it all comes down to a matter of the choices that they will make. It is a story about injustice. It is a story about racism. It is a story about the power that we have to make choices in our lives, even in the times that it may feel as though we are powerless to make any choice at all. But mostly, it is a story about the fact that, as human beings, we all understand pain, fear, anger, and love, and the consequences that come with our choices around which of these feelings we may choose to let dominate our lives.

As the story unfolds, we begin to see that sometimes, the power of choice can be the most powerful force that we possess.

Heartfelt read

I appreciate that the author read his own material. Thankfully he has a great voice and was pleasant to listen to. However, you can hear his emotions with each character, as if he believes this story was true. It grabs you right out of the gate. The big drama happens immediately and then you ride the emotional roller coaster all the way to the end. Wanting and hoping for justice, you have to patiently wait for justice to prevail in its perfect timing and way. Definitely i was touched by the victims faith and courage to wait on God!

Easy story to get invested in.

Perfection for a debut novel. The story was so easy to care about, and the narration was easy to listen to. Honestly wouldn't change a thing. Can't wait for whatever book comes next.
