So much of how we experience life is determined not only by the nature of our interactions with other, but also by the choices we make or fail to make regarding others. In our personal lives and our professional decisions, we have more control and influence over our lives than we are often led to believe.
We have no choice about our economic position or social standing when we enter into the world, but we do have some choices about what we do with our lives once we are here. We can choose where, when, and how we expend our energies to change our economic outcomes and social standing; and change or formulate our relationships with significant and insignificant others. This is easier to do with a set of guiding principles, and A Little Book of Big Principles - Values and Virtues for a More Successful Life instructs us on how to do it.
These principles can serve as a voice of conscience during times of uncertainty; as a motivating force when giving up seems like the only way out; and as a beacon of light during times of despair. They articulate what some people know intuitively and act on instinctively. These principles will equip the listener with the know-how and tools to face and conquer many of life’s challenges.
