It is a predictable yet enjoyable young adult book.

Had this been one of the first books I ever picked up, it likely would have earned a solid four or even five stars. After reading a few thrillers and suspense novels, I found the plot here quite familiar, and many of my hunches about the characters turned out to be spot on.

I strongly encourage new readers and teenagers who enjoy thrillers and mysteries to check out this book.

Thrilling, juicy, fun! A must-read YA voice

Once you start you can’t stop, this book is really addictive and full of twists and turns that can keep you (and your friends) engaged. I listened with my friend and it was the perfect book to enjoy a long drive with — we were entertained and on the edge of our seat the whole time. We really enjoyed the narrator’s performance (who we learned is the author’s daughter Lilia Buckingham, which we thought was nice). Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for their next YA read, or who just wants some really engaging and well written fun!
