***A clean billionaire romance***

Can a sinister plot and a terrible secret keep Darius and Eve from their second chance?

Nurse Eve Stewart is excited to take on another bucket-list fulfillment trip, this time to Edinburgh. That is, until she discovers who’ll be spearheading it: her high school best friend who kissed her and hasn’t spoken to her in 12 years. She doesn’t expect her old feelings for Darius to come alive. When they do, Eve must decide if she can learn to trust again.

Billionaire Darius Dimitriou doesn’t want to take over a fledgling bucket-list charity. When he finds out the project's nurse is the girl he secretly loved in high school, he changes his mind. As they spend time together and his love for her rekindles, he begins to hope they might have a second chance. But first he’ll have to share his past, and it could kill any hope of being with her.

captivating sweet clean romance

An amazing standalone within the Rekd series.  This engaging storyline has twists and turns, righting wrongs, drama, a second chance, restoring of a relationship, trust, and love. I was kept interested throughout with well developed interesting characters in this sweet clean romance of the 4th Rekd Billionaire and his HEA.  The narration was incredibly done with great location descriptions.

Charity trip to Scotland brings healing and forgiveness

This is the last book in the REKD’ed series. Each book takes place nearly at the same Time or close to it. Each of the billionaires find love. The narrator is wonderful with the different accents but otherwise some of the voices bothered me a little bit. This book focuses on finding healing and forgiveness. Darius and Eve were friends in the youth. Darius kisses Eve just before graduation. Then fearing he messed up his friendship pulls away trying to figure things out but due to circumstances he lost his chance. Now in the future they have a shot again. This book has a bit of mystery just like the others in this series.

Enjoyable second chances

Overall, this was an enjoyable story. I liked the characters. The obstacle that was keeping them apart was created by a series of events that, taken collectively were hard to imagine, but when you saw how one mistake built on another, you could see how it happened. I loved how the story was resolved as well.

My one complaint, if I were to call it that, with the story was that the reason they were in Scotland in the first place was to fulfill the wish of a sick child. Yet, it seemed like the author simply used that as the premise for setting the location of the story. The sick child was a very small part of things, and more often than not was talked about when she wasn't present in the scene than actively being a part of it. So it seemed like a gratuitous use of that character. Yes, it was a secondary story. But without that secondary story, the primary one would need to fill in a lot of blanks as to why they were where they were, etc.

A Story that is More than Meets the Eye

This was an excellent book filled with travel, charity, family splits, mystery, and romance.
Eve is the daughter born of a Scottish emigrant and an American mother. Like her father and mother, she blazes her own path with offers her to opportunity to travel as a nurse with an organization that offers dream travel to sick patients.
Darius is tasked with leading up the charity project for his company and is excited to see Eve again. However, he hurt her once upon a time.
When everyone seems to have motives beyond what meets the eye, can Darius prove himself in time to protect Eve?
I received this ARC from Story Origin and am leaving a voluntary review.

Second Chance Romance

I love that Darius and Eve reconnected when she was hired to assist with his company's make a wish like charity. It was great to read about all the places they visited in Scotland and all the food they tried, although I don't care what Eve says I have no desire to try haggis. I'm not a Potterhead, but there were so many places connected with J.K. Rowling and Harry Potter that I would love to see. There were funny, romantic, and some scary moments as they overcome trust issues and Eve meets a grandfather who disowned her father many years ago.

The narrator had a pleasant voice with accents and inflections in the right places.

Great company

A clean romance. These good-hearted people kept me company as I did my housework today. I liked that the author built characters who were generous and helpful. The narrator made it even more entertaining as she used an accent for the Scottish characters.
