One look from Jax Stade promises to land even the nicest girl onto the naughty list.

Jax and I used to be best friends right up until he broke my heart. Everyone knows that both Jax and his overinflated ego are well beyond naughty—that face, those eyes, don’t get me started on that body made of steel.

Every last part of me is bent on revenge. I’ll make sure payback is hell for Jax. I just hope I don’t end up getting my heart crushed by him twice in one lifetime.

Jax and I were inseparable growing up—since then our careers buffered us, but our mothers are still very much best friends. They’ve spent their whole lives trying to push us together—not to mention humiliating us by way of popping up at dances and doing the Macarena, showing up at football games wearing little more than curlers and bathrobes. Mortifying us to their own delight was their specialty.

That might be ancient history, but we still bear the scars. So, when I pop back into town for Christmas, Jax and I devise a scheme of our own to prank the pranksters. We’ll pretend we’re the real deal, right up until Christmas Eve, and then we’ll pull the pin on this faux-couples grenade.

Not only will we get even with our meddlesome mothers, but I’ll get to exact a little revenge on the boy who split my heart in two. Yes, I will most certainly get even—and I certainly won't be nice. Although, with Jax Stade around, naughty is inevitable.

It's beginning to look a lot like trouble.

Great Story, Horrific Narrator!

Cute story, Predictable, but fun.

Really, Really HATE this new Virtual Voice Thing that Audible is doing. They mispronounce words ALL the time. It completely takes away the ability to have any serious enjoyment of listening to the story.

I’d advise looking into getting it off Kindle. It’s worth it.

Monotone

Hard to follow storyline with the monotone narration. Every character sounds the same. AI narration is horrible.

Monotonous

It was hard to ignore the monotonous auto voice. If you can allow yourself to mentally insert your own voices, then you'll at least be able to finish.

Narration Hell

The narration is soooo bad. Not only the virtual/psychotic stalker voice. But how is it possible that VV mispronounces words?!! This poor author deserves to have her book narration redone bc it seems to be a cute story

Virtual voice 👎

The story was pretty good. Virtual voice is not. I hope this is not a long term plan for Audible. I will not be downloading any more virtual voice books.

Cute but let’s use real narrators

The story was kinda cute but really juvenile. The audio on this book is horrible and I believe it took away from the story.

Where do I start?

There was just too much info on the Mothers’ pranks from the start. I knew in less than five minutes into the book that it would be a reverse prank. Did these people never communicate? Insults hurled about their lives back and forth but they never discussed whether they were true or not nor did they try to resolve the issues … except in they own thoughts. AND what was it with the sibling hatred? Narration? I was excited that it would be computer generated. BUT, no. I listen to audio books to enable multitasking. I had a hard time telling just who was supposed to be talking since the voice never changed. I thought there would be a female voice and a male voice. Silly me. Since the voice held no emotion whatsoever didn’t help. Summary….very disappointed.

Cute story but so very hard to follow with one voice

Presentation was awful. Couldn’t tell who was talking. Always a female voice so and the same one.

auto computer voices are awful!

This story is great! It has everything for an awesome read however the computer voice sucks! It really brings it down and makes it very hard to listen too due to that computer voice. Redo with really person reading needs the emotions of a human.
