Great book

I really enjoyed reading this book. I was so engrossed that I didn't want to stop reading. I read it in just about a day. In the beginning, I had a bunch of questions, but it's like finding some answers while still having some mysteries to figure out. This book will totally keep you on the edge of your seat. I love the characters and trying to figure out all their motives for what they do. Overall, it's a splendid book.

great story great naration as well

this book is great gonna start book 2 tonight it reminded me alot of the ron ripley books I mean as far as the style and even the naration which too me is great those are the books that got me into audio books all together since I'm not a reader it has too keep my interest this book definatly did that and I love the supernatural relm of stories alot so this books is a win win for me the naration is just spot on amaising how one person can do all the diferent voices is beyond me but wow anyways not too cut the review short but I finished this in a day now I'm chomping at the bit to start book 2 and here I go

great story with lots of twists

I liked how this story flowed from start to finish well written an well preformed I recommend giving it a go

Had me on the throws of my seat

What an excellent book. Kept me guessing as to what was going to happen next. I love the thought of an undesirable becoming something great. Keep up the good work and I look forward to continuing the adventure.

Glad I found this Series

I just finished pounding the first 3 books in the Wheel of Time series when I need to take a break before jumping into another massive installment. I can across this book, and was hooked! Fun read that blends everyday life with the mythical realm. I think to often we forget about mythological that underpins our life. All in all a great new series for me to listen to.

Unique and Creative Supernatural Adventure

A Grim Awakening is a fun, creative supernatural book that offers adventure, mystery, suspense, and humor in a unique way that kept me entertained. I found myself invested in the characters wanting to protect and save them from harm. The characters grow before your eyes like they should and not just all at once. The story went along at a good pace. There are a few twists and turns that you will not see coming, and they are big, but they will explain more and drag you deeper into the plot. I highly recommend this book, but be fair warned people are not always as they seem. I received this book for free upon my request. I am voluntarily leaving my honest and unbiased review here of my own volition.

Seriously, this book is amazing!!!

This book was so fun to listen to! I listened to it while I was working and some parts were so intriguing that I had to stop working because I didn’t want to miss anything. I think it’s a great book for young teens and up. The narrator did and amazing job as well! He made it really fun to listen to. Can’t wait for book 2!!!

Awesome!!

This book was impossible to stop listening!! I haven't been captivated by a story and world like this in a long time! The story has dark and supernatural themes but done in a way thats fun and exciting! There's humor, action, adventure, suspense, mystery and everything you want in a good story/series. I'm very excited to see where the story goes and learn more about this world the Author is creating! The Narrator did a phenomenal job at bringing the characters to life with unique voices and accents! every character sounded different allowing you to envision them easily! I can't wait to listen to more!

What is up with Ian Grim?!

This is a very fast paced book that keeps you engaged throughout the whole journey. I love the characters, they’re a lot of fun and take you right into their world. A lot of them aren’t quite like what they appear to be, so there’s a good amount of mystery that drives you to read more. There’s a lot of great story telling elements-just an all around good adventure. My favorite chapter is about the Grisp, it really showcases the author’s creative capabilities in writing, and then also just how talented the narrator is. That chapter really pushes boundaries for a narrator and I thought his performance was spot on and just amazed at how he pulled it off. He’s got a great voice and a good flow in the way he reads and of course I love all the different accents. An awesome job by both the author and narrator, I’m so excited for the next book.
