Publisher's summary

Mal's first priority is giving his six-year-old son the best Christmas ever, a goal made trickier by a recent move to New England after losing his job. As a single dad, he's not looking for romance—especially not with a blond California boy 10 years his junior.

After being ridiculed at the family business, Luca sets out to prove himself by opening an eco-friendly gift-wrapping store in a small town with a hard-on for Christmas that’s about as far from LA as he can get. Out of his comfort zone in snowy Maine, love is the last thing on his mind.

But the magic of the season has other ideas. As Mal and Luca collide on wintery streets, will they let their first Christmas in Lighthouse Bay lead to happily ever after?

Wonderful Holiday Treat!

A Gift-Wrapped Holiday is a delightful romance. This single dad, small town romance checks off everything I love to read.
I loved being back in the Lighthouse Bay world.
Mal is a single dad and Luca is a new small business owner. They have a cute meet when Mal's son slips away to Luca's shop.
The chemistry and connection between Mal and Luca is wonderful. I loved that their is no unnecessary drama here. Watching their relationship evolve is amazing.
Full of wonderful secondary characters this book is a wonderful holiday treat.
I loved how much family, both made and found, is really the centerpiece of this story.
I know I will be revisiting Mal, Luca and Otis every holiday!
Adam Lawrence does a terrific job of narrating this story.

Great holiday story

I have listened to a few books that Adam narrated and I find he does a wonderful job. He keeps me inside the story as if I’m right there with the characters.

I really needed this heart warmth book. I’ve been in a slump and Amy took me right out of it. She is an auto read for me.

Lighthouse Bay. What more can I say. I love this town. I need this town in real life. It’s magical.

Luca comes to town opening his own environmentally safe gift wrap and products. He meets Mal, which we’ve met before, eeekkk and sparks fly. Mal is a single dad to an awesomely fun child Otis.

To me this book is about family, friends, found family, and love. This is what this whole town is about.

What a wonderful Christmas story from Amy. Go read it now.

Return to Lighthouse Bay and Christmas Lane

Amy Aislin's holiday series takes place in the fictitious town of Lighthouse Bay, Maine, and is like curling up in a warm blanket in front of a fire on a snowy night; "A Gift-Wrapped Holiday" is no different. I feel as welcome in the quintessential New England town as the characters do. Mal and Luca complement each other well and, while I'm not a huge fan of age gaps, with these characters it fades into the background because they are so well suited for one another. Throw in an adorable kid named Otis, and you've got a sweet, low-angst holiday romance. I also love the return of other Lighthouse Bay couples -- including a cross-over couple from Amy's "Keeping Him" series; it's like visiting with old friends.

Adam Lawrence did a nice job with the narration.

Also, the book made me want to find compostable wrapping paper!

enjoyed it

📖 Story comment: Low angst holiday romance, easy pace and likeable characters.
I'm unfamiliar with the Lighthouse Bay stories and feel I wasn't really missing any vital information.
A Gift-Wrapped Holiday is what I'd call an easy listen - nothing to complicated going on in the storyline, so it's easy to listen too while doing something else without losing track of the story. I liked that Mal and his Ex-Wife are still friends and Otis has a healthy environment to grow up in.

🎧 Narrator comment: I enjoyed Adam Lawrence's performance. He suits the characters giving them each their own voice and personality, has good timing, inflections and intonations and brings the story to life.
