Great supernatural scare!

This is a book I received from Audioboom and the review is voluntary. I had read book one and missed book 2 and still was able to follow along but I should have read book 2 first for the enjoyment! I will have to go back and get it! Morgan is our main character and he is after one thing, the witch that killed the person he loved. The witch is got a drug she is huddling on the streets but it's laced with magic and she can enter their minds. It's a wild ride with lots of suspense, action, great fantasy, magic, unpredictable situations, and a terrific plot and imagination! Morgan also has someone on his side, well, with him but can't let him loose! He ends up having to let his other self out! Wow!
Morgan is certainly no one to mess with but shows his vulnerable side in this book! Read in order and enjoy the great fantasy world and follow Morgan as he tries to get his witch!
Narration was great! Performed male, female, and children and made them sound believable.

Interesting premise and good execution filled with action and suspense. Despite doing my initial read of this book with no prior exposure to the previous books I was pulled in and easily able to follow it. The story pulled me in and kept me interested, often on the edge of my seat. Relevant details from previous books were sprinkled in so it was as if I hadn't missed anything in the previous  books. The rising action/climax was wonderful leaving me hanging onto every word. The concept that each person's inner mind creates a world unique to them was interesting and well executed. Morgan was a relatable and well fleshed out character with great growth throughout the story. Great prose and descriptions, the story flows wonderfully. I thoroughly enjoyed this story and cant wait to get my hands on more from this series.
The narrator was great. Good vocal range and audio quality. Decent vocal range.

Good story packed with plenty of action! Plenty of twists and turns in the storyline adventure as Rook takes on the evil witch. The narrator did a fantastic job! I received a free copy of this audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

A Game of Witches

Wow! I want to know more about Morgan's 'Other' and how he came to be. I love how this series gradually build the tension as of each book as the story progresses. The narrator continues to impress me. I received this audio book for free through Audiobook Boom for my unbiased review.

Thrilling Series

Once again Morgan Rook takes us on an exciting magical journey filled with action and suspense. The narrator does an excellent job bringing the story and characters to life - I am captivated by every spoken word. I really love the world that the author has created in this series.

I thought this was a fantastic follow up to book 2. I can honestly say that I enjoyed this one as much as the last book. I was immediately drawn in and my attention was held throughout. The narrator did a great job on this book too. All in all, I'm quite excited for the next book.

Spice it up...

SO I will be honest, I never read books one or two, but I didn't feel; like I fully needed to. Any back story was told throughout for the most part. I liked the different concepts of each persons inner mind creating a world unique to them, that was cool.. Calling the drug Black spice was awesome, it was a great visual. The sewer scene was amazingly detailed and Morgan was a likable character. Downsides, not really any here except a few things felt forced, dying witch is all for her cause but is granted a quick death to end suffering if she talks... and she does... then he gets a call about the same info he just got and it confirms it... would have flowed better if she died not talking and then he got the tip, the silver spiral seem willing to die for their cause... yes thats a semi spoiler but theres so many witchs you wont know which witch is which..

The witch must die!!!!!!!

The story line flows well. This book kept me on the edge of my seat. Morgan Rook has a final showdown against the evil witch he has been trying to get and her coven. I recommend this series. It is a great urban fantasy. I look forward to more in this series. The narrator, Shawn Compton did an awesome job. I was gifted this book in exchange for an honest review.

Main arc progresses significantly

This book is more heavily invested in the main arc than the previous one, Morgan Rook finally comes face to face with his nemesis, the witch that killed his girlfriend, but will he survive the encounter.

Besides ramping up this main arc, the book introduces new complications with his employers and the secretive organisation that oversees them and brings back some characters from earlier in the series who seem like they will become a significant part of the series in the future.

The narrator delivers a strong overall performance with clear and distinctive tones serving to enhance the overall story greatly.

Overall, a strong instalment in this series that takes some notable steps forward and expands the problems for the hero.
