The resin reading made this almost impossible to listen to

The stories are fine. The reader has no dynamics in his performance and it really is not fun to listen to.

Monotonous reader. Mostly mediocre stories.

Most of the stories did not sound well written. I did not appreciate Any of them. Too many also did not have a satisfactory end.

Asil was great!

Great Little Treasures

I always like reading little side stories about my favorite characters. The book has great stories. Unfortunately, the narrator was the same throughout the book and he was as dry and monotone as sandpaper.
The book is great, I just recommend you skip this Audble version and read the Kindle one instead.

fantastic holiday season

not a great fan. didn't realize the stories were so young... the narrator really didn't change his voice at all. would have been great for a really creepy story ......

A Christmas Fantasy Treasure

I really liked all of the stories. Great writing, some familiar characters and an excellent anthology.

Stories good Narration Awful

I enjoy many of these authors and some of the stories I heard were quite entertaining. That said, the narrator was terrible, so bad that there was no way for me to continue listening to these stories.

Did not like the voice

Really liked the stories. Got it for the Patricia Briggs story which was good if you read it but the voice used was horrible so I couldn’t get into it. Had to read it to enjoy the story. Glad they don’t use the same voice for the rest of Patricia Briggs Alpha and Omega series.

Fingernails on Blackboard.

I had to content myself with reading only with this one. The sound of Bridger Conklin's voice was driving me up the wall before he finished the first story! That soft monotone is horrible!

Terrible narration

Listened to 1 story and had to return it, which is too bad because I like quite a few of the authors and the stories sounded interesting. There is, however, no way I could listen to Bridger Conklin's monotonous narration for 10+ hours.

Oy this narrator…

Ok I know a lot of people who are interested in this book are looking for “unappreciated gifts”
It’s unlabeled. It’s chapter 14. You’re welcome.
The narrator has a lovely voice but he also has no inflection and he mis-pronounces the name “Asil” to all fans of the Mercy Thompson universe, this is annoying. It was kind of difficult to listen to. I really didn’t care about any of the other stories and am kind of annoyed that this is not in the shifting shadows anthology. I MIGHT listen to the rest, but probably not. I haven’t even finished the one story that I actually want but I had to stop and review because it’s quite jarring.
