Time Traveling Witch

I really enjoyed a Devil of a Time by Mona Marple. The narrator Nano Nagle is fantastic and brings this story to life.

We meet Flick and she is having a "devil of a time". Flick has powers but does not want to use them. If she doesn't use them she'll be cut off from her family. She decides to take a job with the Agency and she is sent back to 1999 to solve a cold case and she only has 7 days to do it!

I love this book, and the concept is so original intertwining time travel and witches with a mystery. The writing is so well done , and I really enjoyed the plot twists. Flick is as complex a character as they come, not only dealing with decisions with her family, and her craft but also solving a cold case mystery.

I thoroughly enjoyed listening to every minute of this book !

Great premise

This is a standalone story. I listened to this as I did chores around the house and town.

I liked the premise of this book, succumb to a pre-arranged marriage or support yourself.
Felicity aka Flick is a witch in a wealthy matriarchal family. Her grandmother tells her she has a marriage proposal from Merlin. Felicity isn’t ready for marriage and a child.

She gets a job solving cold cases and is required to travel back in time.

This kept me entertained and engaged throughout the book. Lots of twists and turns.

Sassy, quirky fun

Felicity Wagner's grandma wants her to settle down and have a daughter but that is not what Felicity wants. Felicity is determined to find a job and take care of herself after all she does come from a strong witch background. A letter arrives one day from The Paranormal Peculiarities Agency with a spell that Felicity reads out loud and is transported back in time to solve a cold case.
This book is well written with loveable characters and a amazing storyline that could have been pulled from today's headlines. It has sarcasm, fun, excitement, magic and a ghost dog. I would highly recommend this book if you like supernatural time traveling fun.

A delightful book. Great characters,love gran. First time using audio books. Impressed and the narrator Nano Nagle was very nice.

Great story

While this is a great whimsical cozy mystery, it also touches on real social issues that are timeless. Flick goes back in time to solve a cold case. She also learns about homelessness and we see how that effects her. The story touches on gender and racial equality also. Flick meets several people of different ages and occupations. She learns about their lives and issues they are dealing with. This is very much about Flick becoming an adult, being responsible for herself, and finding out what it means to be an adult. Surprise ending and a very satisfying ending. I am looking forward to the next book in this series.

Good

I got this story via audiobook boom and this is my voluntary review. this was a nice four+ hours. The narrator was good and brought the story to life. How do you choose between being "normal" or embracing the powers you are born with? Hard decision especially in light of what you know you must do. When the blinders are removed do you follow your instincts and do what you believe? Choices. What are your answers?

A very intriguing story

Have you ever wondered if cold cases might be solved if we were able to travel back in time? That’s what the main character does in this cozy paranormal mystery. It’s a fun well written story, that makes me want to read more from this author.
The narrator are also very good. I love the accents she does for each person, so they are easily identified when you listen to the book.
I strongly recommend that you give this book a chance.

Great book

When i recd this book i knew it was a book 2, however, when started listening it felt like a i was reading book 1. What i did not know about this series was each book is by different authors and characters. Once i realized this, everything made sense. Love this book it involves witch, time travel and a cold case murder. I was gifted this book at no cost per my request in exchange for an honest review. The narration of the book was very good.
