I now run The Supernatural Dating Agency, a discreet section of Withernsea's finest matchmaking service. Yeah, I'll do all the work while Shelley makes babies with her gorgeous vampire husband. It's not like I've anything better to do anyway. My ex is now a newly turned vamp struggling to accept he can no longer admire his own reflection, and I don't care what Ebony "sees", Kim is not about to date a wolf; he has better hair than I do.

Then Lucy Fir, fresh from the gates of guarding Hell, decides she wants me to find her a boyfriend. He'll need to be a knight in shining inflammable armor with her temper. Can I find her a date, or is my new career damned before it's even started?

Amazing cast of characters!

A Devil Of A Date is another great story by Andie M. Long. This is the second book in the Supernatural Dating Agency series and it's just as great as the first one. Full of humor, drama, suspense and an amazing cast of characters. I loved going on Lucy's journey to find love and Kim's reluctance to see her own destiny. I highly recommend this series to everyone looking for a fun entertaining story.

LOVED IT

This book had me laughing all the way through. Not a dull moment in this book. This book was even better than book 1 and i just loved book 1. The characters are lovable and funny. I definitely will continue this series.

The narrator does an excellent job with each characters voices.

I was gifted the book at my request in exchange for an honest review.

Supernatural Dating Agency

I love the premise of this series: a dating agency for supernatural species! This book continues the story set out in Book 1 and you really should read the first book in order to know the background for this book.

Kim is now running the Supernatural side of the Dating Agency while Shelly focuses on the human side. And, by the way, Shelly and her hot vampire hubby, Theo, have to try to make a baby during the one week in 100 years that he can do it. So, Kim is pretty much on her own.

Except, her best friend and former lover, Frankie, is now a vampire, but doesn't seem to be able to do all the vampy things he should do, like drink blood. And, he can't be away from Kim even for bathroom breaks! In the meantime, Lucy Fir is a recently released demon who needs to find love fast.

This book/series has vampires, seers, weres and shifters, angels, pixies, demons, ghosts and a few humans to entertain the reader. I loved the interaction between the species and the descriptions of Lucy's horrible dates are LOL funny. There is plenty of snark, sexual innuendo and cursing, so if that bothers you, stay away!

The narrator, Angela Doll, does a good job, but I do have a few complaints about her performance. Her voices for the different characters are not distinct enough to know who is talking a lot of the time and I had to play catch up to know who was talking. Also, the book is obviously set in the UK, but Ms. Doll is very American in her speech.

I look forward to future adventures in the world of Supernatural dating and hope that Ms. Long continues the series for a long time. I was given the chance to listen to the audiobook version of this book by the author and chose to review it.

A Devil of a Date

Lucy spent decades as a devil. Now thanks to Shel she's back in the human realm. But becoming human again is hard. Add to this Kim's problem with Frankie, ex wizard turned vampire, and it seems like hell on Earth.
The narrator is fantastic in her voice portrayals of each character and it's a joy to listen to the story!!
Fantastic audio and story!!

Like 2 stories and a 1/2 in 1

This is book 2 and I most definetly say listening to book 1 is a must before diving in as not only do we get glimpses of the happy couple from the 1st but also the quirky assistant from there holds a larger stage with this story, (minor spoiler book 3 is about her).

My only issue and maybe my only real thing is I wish for a second narrator because in some instances I need to do a double take to make sure the current monologue was about a certain character other wise I laughed and enjoyed this story.

Not quite as sweet but oh so funny

The second book gives us a deeper understanding of the characters from the first, I loved all of them so that was fun, and we were also introduced to some quirky new additions. Shelley is a saint for having so much patience with Mary, just saying.
I was a little confused who’s love story this was going to be at first and was a little disappointed when I realized it wasn’t Darius but that didn’t last long.
It was a little more risqué than the first with more dirty jokes and language, but what do you expect when it centers around Kim and Lucy, and it was hilarious. I still felt it was a little short and rushed in places for all of the storylines that were incorporated, however there was still significant character and relationship building. I absolutely loved how it turned out for almost everyone and I’m hoping we can look forward to the rest of the series being made into audiobooks really soon.
The narrator vastly improved in this book. She seems to have gotten more comfortable, maybe? She does a good job invoking emotions and differentiating between characters. I found this book so enjoyable to listen to.

You need this book

This book was everything I needed in a book and didn’t know it. The humour is amazing, and the heat superb and the storyline is fantastic.

The narrator really gave it depth and brought it to life. So between the author and the narrator this was just unputdownable I loved it.

Romantic Comedy

A Devil of a Date by Andie M. Long is a supernatural romance that I listened to on audio narrated by Angela Doll. This is the second book in the Supernatural Dating Agency series. I cannot wait to jump into book three.

I am a bit torn on Angela’s narration on this story. The Characters are supposed to be British but it’s an American narrator. I think Angela did a great job with using different voices for the women. However, she did not change the tone for the men’s character so it got a bit confusing at times.

I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys paranormal romantic comedies.

Great series.

I listened to the audiobook version of A Devil of a Date straight after listening to The Vampire Wants a Wife and as I enjoyed that so much, this story had a lot to live up to. I can happily say that this book was possibly better than the first. It was funny, and endearing with just the right amount of oh no! Moments.
Angela Doll returned to narrate this second in series and once again did a wonderful job.

Awesome series!

I’m loving this series! This is the second book, the first is the vampire wants a wife. Oh boy. Lucy tries to find love in all the wrong places, when it was under her nose all along. The calamities in this book will have you chuckling like a loon. I do wonder if Kim will keep her side of the bargain.
