These people quickly become her second family and take Hazel in when her parents are required to leave town on account of her baby brother’s illness. In this new home, Hazel meets Cowie, the Great Dane who accompanies her on her first journey across the stars. Having just learned about magic and adventure, Hazel is now tasked with a seemingly impossible rescue. And there, in the middle of the night on a cold shale beach, surrounded by darkness and mystery, is where Hazel’s life as an adventurer first begins.

Delightful!

This is a delightful book for all ages. It is full of fun as well as wonderful spiritual lessons being woven into the story. The style of the book is similar to the Narnia books, which by the way I love. The characters are full of personality and provide humor and adventure.

Sarah Kisko does a phenomenal narration of the book. I can't find enough words to describe her performance. So many voices done perfectly to bring out the characters' personalities. I'd love to hear more books narrated by her.

I requested this audiobook from the narrator and am voluntarily leaving this review.
