Acerca de esta escucha
Carol Slade and Molly McGhee, fast friends, cling to the hope they’ll find someone to love them before it’s too late. Each with a tragic story of their own, they live in a refuge for unwed mothers and are desperate for their futures and that of their unborn babies. With no money, no family, and no other place to live, times are desperate.
When Carol learns of the Matrimonial Times, she responds to an ad and encourages Molly to do likewise. With a healthy dose of luck and God’s blessing, they’ll find someone who will love them both and their unborn children, taking them in and providing a life…and maybe even someone to fall in love with as well.
Fate smiles on each of them, for both women soon find men in matches that seem made in heaven. Not only that, but both are in California and they’re elated at the chance they might remain friends in their new lives.
As fate would have it, however, whims and fortunes can change with the blowing of the wind, and not all turns out as expected. It’s a surprise Molly could never see coming, nor wish upon anyone.
Determined not to despair, she accepts her new fate, hoping to make the best of her life alone with her new, precious, baby boy. Due to the incredible grace of a new friend bent on making sure she’s able to care for herself and her boy, she bides her time. Charlie seems a miracle. For now. But he’ll surely want her gone, and soon.
Yet Christmas miracles come in many forms, and this Christmas might just bring more than one surprise, for not all surprises are bad, either. For love between mother and child, man and woman, and familiar friends can change the course of the future, and it might just do so for more than just one person this Christmas…
