Publisher's summary

Christmas is the time when wishes come true. Be careful what you ask for.

I fell in love with you at a wedding. There were days when I did not like you at all, but you were the man standing at the end of the aisle with the snow falling around us whenever I dared to dream. Now we are here, at our wedding in Connecticut, on Christmas Day. The setting is perfect, and I cannot wait to spend the rest of my life with you. -Jade Estelle Lassiter

It took you knocking me on my ass to realize you were always the one. We met as young adults and thought we knew everything only to learn there was so much more to discover. As I watched you from afar you grew into the one woman I could not live without. On this day, I will make you my wife. As we embark on this day, I thank God for bringing you back into my life at a time when I was wise enough to grab you and never let you go. My heart, my mind, my body—the very soul of me is yours forever and always. -Blake Everett Thornton

Those Lassiters have been a thorn in my side. This wedding will only take place over my dead body. -Sofia Thornton

Your wish is my command. Kill her. -Anonymous

Funny, sad and oh so enjoyable!

I waited on bated breath for this conclusion of the Lassiters' "Wedding Series"! I was not disappointed in the least. After my first listen, I went back to my print copy to see if Iris "the knock off Queen" had given some indication of who sent Sophia to her final resting place. I still don't have a clue but I do have some suggestions! The driver or someone said to her welcome to hell! I tried to remember all who was present when Sophia was told to go straight to hell! Vance alluded to killing her after they extracted the needed information from her but my gut tells me the killer was connected to the senator who is involved with PIE!!!!!! Anyway you listen, this audiobook was as good of a listen as it was a read! Iris, you gave Winston excellent material to work with and Winston James, your narration knocked it out the park sort of like Tyson from the Connecticut Lassiters did with that ball! Great job all around!!!!

The Final Gem's Wedding!

This was both a happy and sad story for me. On one hand, Jade and Blake's story was the end of the Gem and Gents segment of the Lassiter family. On the other hand, I am just waiting for Jessie James' book.

Blake and Cynthia's mother was a horrible human being. The things she was willing to do were hateful and heartless. The only thing that bothered me about this book was Jade's frequent reminders to Blake about Sofia being his mother. At some point, with a parent like that, the only thing Blake could have done was walk away for his own good.

Tbh, the jury is still out on Samantha. She is a little too much out of pocket to me. I don't necessarily mind the fact that she is outspoken, but she I feel like she exhibits a level of disrespect that I haven't seen in the other Lassiter's, even when discussing their own successes and abilities. I think Joshua tops that list, but he hasn't seemed disrespectful to Sally and Joe. I had no issue with the way she handled Sofia.

I liked Blake and Jade's wedding. It was a sweet ending to the wedding season before the twists made an appearance. I thoroughly enjoyed the audiobook. It is going on my re-listen list.

For now, I will return to the Brooks and the Dunning's to see what they are up to in their world. 4.5 stars.
