What if time as we know it is merely an illusion? What appears linear is really an endless series of revolutions, each one containing ten realities. Each reality comes with its own set of memories, so most people are unaware of these shifts and experience time as seamless. Once in a while the curtain opens, and a person glimpses the spiral evolution known as time.

For Larissa it begins as a nightmare.

During a weekend trip to the town of New Hope—to settle her late aunt’s affairs in the house she inherited—she is drawn into a sequence of realities that leave her confused and upset, longing to escape.

She is accompanied by her brother and his business partner, a blind man she met briefly at a café and was immediately unnerved by. Having gone blind as a child, Brett developed a powerful inner sight, and his ability to read Larissa is uncanny. As they spend time together, she realizes he sees her in a way no one else does. Brett's presence is life-changing. With his help she begins to understand herself and finds herself falling in love. When he is absent from successive realities, she feels an inexplicable loss.

Though each shift is different, certain people, events, and objects recur. Clues are hidden in an enigmatic poem, a bracelet, and a collection of diaries she finds among her aunt’s things. Elements of her shifting realities keep reintroducing themselves, and these clues ultimately help her solve the mystery with the help of her friend Trish.

Resistant at first, Larissa is forced to acknowledge the psychic gift she has long repressed. As she becomes more open-minded, she begins to look inward for answers—especially when one shift leaves her alone in the small town.

As the revolution of time completes its final shift, Larissa awakens in a new reality with no memory of the paranormal journey. Yet something within her has changed. Shadowy dreams, uncanny knowing, and a man she “knows” but has never met all give her glimpses of what could be. When she receives news of her inheritance, she feels strangely drawn to the place.
