Publisher's Summary

It's sink or swim for Everly with her most bizarre case yet!

Everly Swan is busy as a bee running her beachside iced tea shop, and the small island of Charm, North Carolina is abuzz - Mitzi Calgon, an iconic Hollywood actress, is in town! Everly's great-aunts are making a documentary about beekeeping and Mira has agreed to help. But when the actress turns up dead, reporters and fans swarm the island, muddying the water and disrupting the peaceful lives of the townspeople.

Everly's never been good at minding her own beeswax, so she starts following her own leads and combing through the evidence. Then there's the mystery of Detective Hays - ever since their kiss under the mistletoe, he's been acting distant. And he's annoyingly determined to keep Everly away from the case. But when she receives a cryptic warning to "Bee Careful", Everly realizes that she's gotten herself into a really sticky situation....

The fourth book in Bree Baker's Seaside Café Mystery series, readers of Joanne Fluke and Kate Carlisle will love A Call for Kelp!

THE BEST YET!

I HAVE ENJOYED THIS SERIES FROM THE BEGINNING, BUT THIS BOOK BROUGHT IT TO A WHOLE NEW LEVEL. EVERLY, GRADY, RYAN, WYATT, AMELIA, DENISE, THE SENATOR, THE AUNTS - EVERYONE HAS NEW DOORS OPENED. I CANNOT WAIT TO SEE WHAT THE FUTURE HOLDS FOR EACH AND EVERY ONE OF THEM. I JUST HOPE THE NEXT BOOK ISN'T TOO FAR BEHIND.

Finally

I liked all the supporting characters more than the main one, so I kept listening. This one- I actually like the lead. The aunts are my favorite still. But finally some backstory on Grady and his au pair. I will get #5. This installment is twice as good as the previous ones.

Painfully stupid

I'm sorry. The first book in this series was clumsy in the way of many corny or pathetically silly dialogue or plot movements but had an ongoing cohesion that made me able to 'grin and bear it' because the other parts of real people, , believable situations etc carried authenticity and entertainment. Not this one. So much dumb stuff -- I couldn't finish it. I appreciate the playful intention! I just think Bree Baker needs to tighten up her act. Or her editor does.

This was SO GOOD!

I LOVE these characters and this story was the best in the series. I swear that Everly Swan is my literary twin.
This was a really entertaining book and I hated for it to end, because I know I have to wait for the fifth and last book in the series. And I don't want it to be over!

Bree Baker - A call for kelp

I was waiting patiently for this to come out on audible, and it didn’t disappoint.
Loved it, can’t wait for the next in the series.

Love everything this author writes, under Bree Baker or Julie Anne Lindsey or her other books.

Thank you, 5 stars to author and narrator.
